Morning Glories is a top-tier vacation destination on Captiva Island. The location on Gore Lane (in the Captiva Village area) is quiet and close to the beach, yet convenient to shops and restaurants. Guests may wish to never leave this amazing house, though!

Big, beautiful, and the epitome of luxury, Morning Glories has a smart floor plan and plenty of room – even with (14 guests it feels spacious. There are even two separate garages and driveways.

Enjoy Captiva’s famous weather with the private pool and spa tub, slide-away glass walls, shaded porches, furnished sundeck with perfect southern exposure, indoor/outdoor dining, lush tropical landscaping, and more.

This lovely, heated pool is all yours at Morning Glories. The pool is large (30 feet long, 15 feet wide at the shallow end) and fed by a sweet-sounding waterfall of warm water from the in-ground spa tub. It’s very private with a dense surrounding thicket of tropical palms. Add to the water amusement with big inflatables, pool noodles, and a basket of toys for the little ones. Bask on the sun patio upon luxury chaise lounges. But don’t forget about the great Captiva beach, which is a really easy walk along a charming path just across Wiles Drive.

Florida sunshine can be intense, but you can always retreat into one of the shaded porches for a cool drink, a snack, or a meal. The shaded outdoor dining table seats eight, and the game room and pool kitchen are just steps away. The entire pool area and all slide-away glass walls (including main level south porches) are within the giant screen enclosure, preventing “too much nature” in this tropical climate.

Kids of all ages are very welcome at Morning Glories. Of course, the big kids will love the games (pool table, ping-pong, foosball) and the swimming. But the house is also stocked for younger vacationers to have a delightful time on Captiva: games, and kid books.

New arrivals will enjoy a lengthy exploration of the interior of Morning Glories. But everywhere you look, you will find smart design, tasteful décor, comfortable furnishings, and plenty of space to spread out.

Paradise on Captiva!!

Our stay was wonderful and the home was beautiful… Fully equipped with everything that we needed… The pool and living space were wonderful for our family that included young children. Would definitely come back..

Everything is up to date, and for a rental, it’s a beautiful home.I’ve rented from American for over 15 years, and they’ve always taken care of me and my family. I would absolutely recommend this house and others they offer. This is one of their larger homes, and if you have a big family, it’s a great option.The beach is just a 3-minute walk, and the house is well stocked. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom. The pool and multiple decks make the home feel very dynamic and offer great personal space for everyone.Over the years, we’ve rented both small and large homes from American, and this one is definitely a solid choice. Albert is always responsive and helpful with any issues or questions.I’d give the home 4.5 stars and American 5 stars!

Had dozens of winged insects in upper back queen bedroom plus a very large spider there. Gnats in bottom apartment (probably related to garbage/ recyc storage). Many Roaches. Way too many spiders/webs in pool cage. INSTALL POOL HAND RAILING. REPAIR (or cover with matt) SLATES WHICH WERE BREAKING INTO DANGEROUS RAZOR-LIKE LAYERS. Vacuum so renters can help keep place cleaner --maybe helping roach problem.

The house is perfect for a large group with a layout that was spacious yet still very comfortable and homey. Very short walk to the beach. The grands loved the pool and the house was equipped with plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and carts to get them all to the beach. We will absolutely stay here again.

The espresso and coffee machines were a big hit with the adults! We had 8 adults and six kiddos ranging in age from 9 months to 7 yrs. There was ample sleeping arrangements for everyone. Although the baby slept separately in one of the bedrooms, the other two children slept in pallets in their parents’s bedroom. The owners had every possible item you might need on vacay. The pool and covering (great for keeping out pesky mosquitos) and pool toys and ample towel supply were a huge hit with the kiddos. The outside areas were lovely and afforded a nice quiet place to read etc. The home was immaculate and the air worked great, with the exception of one downstairs bedroom, but the maintenance person came as soon as we called. Overall, this is a lovely vacation home and we enjoyed our stay relatively problem free. You would not be wrong in choosing this beautiful home for your vacation. It is within walking distance of most everything on the island.

There was room for all of us to be to hand have alone time, as well. The location was very close to the village and the beach, too. We had to call maintenance twice to fix the hot tub. The first day we were there the foliage fell through the cover of the pool area. We called several times, but never heard anything. Otherwise, it was the best trip ever!

Morning Glories

The owners did a lot to have plenty of items available in this property, although we had to arrive and search to discover that. Rental company did not disclose all the amazing amenities and there were no instructions on using most of them. The walk to the beach was short. The management company does a terrible job cleaning this property. The house was dirty, the dishes were not clean, years of dust under beds & couches etc. This was shocking to us during a COVID pandemic where we were promised sanitized properties. We spent day one washing dishes & glass ware and sanitizing the house ourselves. Would not use this rental company again. Have always used Royal Shell and will go back to them. Feel bad for owners as the property is lovely.
