Wonderful cabin with not so wonderful support
The cabin was great and the location was amazing. The view was wonderful and the cabin was well provisioned. The only issue with the cabin itself to be aware of is the cabin is not ada in any way. As someone who has some issues with stairs, the stairs are older and the handrails were a bit sketchy.
The other major thing to know is that the cabin is managed by a company. They are handling numerous rental in the area and have a system. Once they close for the day, they do not answer the vbro provided communications. The only contact/info you will get is in an standard email - an email that ended up in my junk folder so I had trouble finding it.
Like with most of our rentals, I messaged the contact via the app during our travel with our ETA and to check to about check-in procedures. No answer. Got to property and messaged again and no answer. Called the contact number and no answer. It took us over an hour sitting on the property porch in below freezing temps and a call to vbro support to finally find the email instructing us to get the key from their office, 15 or so minutes away. We got the key and paperwork left in a box by their office and finally got in our cabin. Never did hear from the rental company. VRBO support was great though.
Long story short, double check your emails and know the cabin is run by a company, not an individual. They will not communicate via the VRBO app.
