About this property

Come explore a beautiful working farm within the Nashville city limits. Quiet and calm, only 15-20 minutes from all the action of the city. Come see wildflowers in the fields, walk the hiking trails among the trees, or relax on the patio by the pool.

We offer a pool (seasonal) and hiking trails. You can enjoy fresh farm eggs every morning from our friendly chickens. There is high speed WiFi in the house and main yard. There is a fire pit in the front yard for late night hangouts and a grill and furniture on the deck for outdoor dining.

Every bedroom has it's own full bathroom. Three baths are in suite, and one is 3 feet across the hall. We supply spices and basic pantry staples, oils, and spices. We are pet friendly. We have a long gravel driveway, making the home completely secluded and private. Come relax to the sounds of nature in our farmhouse.

Quiet Seclusion

The house was a great size/layout for our family! The pool was nice. The deck is in need of repair. We bought outside rugs to cover most of the surface for protection. There is no microwave. I might have missed that in the description. There is a really nice large toaster oven. Agree with previous reviews that the kitchen space is very limited as the cupboards were quite full. This home is very quiet- back in the woods. We loved the peacocks and Charlie was an absolute sweetheart!

Excellent Family Stay

We had 6 kids, ages 1-7, and 4 adults. House was large enough for all of us, plus the pool was clean and very refreshing (it was HOT!). Dogs were very friendly. Kids loved seeing the peacocks and collecting eggs from the chickens with Chris’ supervision. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Chris was very communicative the entire time.

Farmstay

Overall, this house accommodated our family with children for our vacation. The property was private, quiet and there was lots to do nearby. The house was nice for 9 adults and 3 kids. The house was tidy but not cleaned well. The kitchen was nice but there was no room for any of our own groceries, since there pantry space was in use. We wished we could have spent more time outdoors but the grass and plants were not well maintained and very overgrown, which made it hard to play with young kids. The pool was a nice relief in the heat, it was a great size and was very clean. The deck area was nice, but many loose boards and nails that made it unsafe.

Perfect getaway

Friends and family gathered for a long weekend getaway. The location was close enough to all the sights we wanted to visit. We appreciated the chickens and peacock! The pool was very well kept and perfect for our temperatures during our visit. Would recommend

Great weekend at the farm

This was perfect for us. There were seven of us for a long weekend, and it was great that we had a separate bathroom for each bedroom. The common areas were huge so we could all get together. Enjoyed the large deck in the back and the fire pit in the front. Great seeing the wonderful selection of animals. The drive into was not bad, and we definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet at the farm away from lower Broadway.

Down on the farm

The house was set up great for a larger group with 2 living areas. It only had 1 TV which was fine with us but could be a problem if you had kids. Everyone was happy with beds. The one thing that would improve the stay is maintaining the yard a little better.

An at home feel right in Nashville

From the minute you pull up you are invited by a lush country side that is absolutely beautiful. The small bridge to the house really made us feel like we were in the hills of Tennessee when it’s only 15 minutes from downtown. (Uber was never an issue) The home fit all of our needs with every thing that you could possibly need or want. From the books, swimming pool and deck, big family kitchen for meals, and fresh eggs for breakfast. This is now our go to spot when visiting Nashville.

Relaxing Get Away

Very enjoyable stay that was secluded and quite. Really liked the fresh eggs with our breakfast each morning and the company of a very friendly dog (Sky) that was there to protect the chicken. If we visit the Nashville area again, we will diffidently try to reserve this place again.

This was a beautiful home tucked away at the end of a private drive. Tranquil and country with everything you could want AND it’s only minutes from the tourism and nightlife In Nashville! All of the kids enjoyed the pool and various animals. We had hot dog roasts, made s’mores and chased lightening bugs, kids dream! Adults also had a hot tub and plenty of room to either have family time or get away from the littles for a while. We will stay here again if we have need one the Nasharea again.

Serenity on the rdge of Nashville!

Balance of country and city!

Hubs, myself, ours sons, their family, and our grandpuppy, had the BEST vacation here! Lots of lush beauty in a quiet sanctuary! Pool, hot tub, walking trails, grill, beautiful home, gracious hosts, and doggy friendly! Perfect retreat after a day in the city!

Best Vacation Ever

Our family had the best time here. The house is well stocked and maintained. The kids loved all the animals (dogs, cats, chicken, Guinea hen). The dogs and cats were so friendly and great with the kids. Can’t beat having fresh eggs daily! The property is far enough from the city for a rural feel, but close enough to hit a show or catch a Nashville Sounds game. The house binder was super helpful for ideas of places to check out. We felt right at home and the property owners were super laid back and kind to us. Highly recommend. Thanks, Ellery & Chris!!

Great Place

My family stayed here for a wedding in Whites Creek. There were 8 of us, four adults and 4 children ranging in age from 4-9. The house was perfect. It was very clean with comfortable beds. Two bedrooms were close together and the other two were each located off two living areas. There was an amazing amount of privacy due to the bedroom locations. Our four granddaughters had a great time playing with the two dogs and two cats and had we been there longer, we would have taken Chris up on his offer to show the girls how to collect eggs for our breakfasts. We will not hesitate to rent this property again on our next visit.

Country location near Nashville

We enjoyed our stay in the country and loved that everything we wanted to do was only 15-30 minutes away. Chris and Ellery were quick to respond to any questions or problems we had. Biggest drawback were the ticks, they didn’t seem to mind the mosquito/ tick repellent at all. Some of our group hiked in the woods every morning and came in to shower and check for ticks as soon as we finished. Not much that can be done about ticks in the woods! Might help to trim back some of the vegetation around the house and trim branches to avoid contact with ticks close to the house. We also enjoyed the dogs, cats, and chickens.

Quiet country setting

This was perfect we wanted to visit the city of Nashville but prefer a quiet private stay. The property is secluded surrounded by woods and trails. The layout offered plenty of room for everyone to have their privacy and shower with 4 full baths. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to have dinner and breakfast there a few times. Pool and deck area were perfect for grilling and relaxing with the family. The house was clean and very nice. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Vacation Nightmare & VRBO disappointment

This was by far the worst VRBO experience we have ever had. We rented for 10 nights and barely made it through one night. We tried to work with the owner and asked for only a 50% refund due to the many, many issues with the rental. He offered a 3 night refund and then said "Let VRBO handle it." We were niave enough to think we could contact ANY ONE at VRBO. It's been10 days and we have been unsuccessful via chat, phone or email. We are longtime VRBO travelers. The vacation rental landscape is NO LONGER what it used to be. We have NEVER given a bad review but the VRBO website recommended doing so to us at least a half dozen times. This was NOT our chosen avenue of resolution, and in fact, may not even help us. But we have exhausted all other means of communication with VRBO Customer Service, which does not even appear to have an office in the United States...

We bought this farm in 2019. We picked this place because it's the perfect combination of the country life with easy access to the city. We enjoy sharing what we have through hosting.

Why they chose this property

This property is unique because you can enjoy Nashville but come home to peace and quiet. You can introduce yourselves to our livestock dogs, game birds, cats, and chickens. Or, if you prefer to hike or mountain bike, we have hiking and biking trails in the woods.

What makes this property unique

We love giving farm tours and will happily show you how to collect eggs. This is a working farm with chickens, livestock dogs, barn cats, and game birds, not all of whom are confined to pens. Guests' pets must be kept on leash under the owner's control when outside to prevent stressful interactions with the farm animals. All of our animals are very friendly. One closet and room are locked for our personal belongings and not available for guest use.
