Agréable séjour, maison très bien placée dans une avenue sécurisée avec portail à l’entrée où seuls les habitants peuvent entrer. Belle piscine, maison bien équipée, seul bémol le ménage qui était négligé ! Hôte très sympathique et très disponible.

Parfait séjour en famille au centre de Marseille!

Parfait pied à terre pour des Marseillais exilés à l'étranger! A deux pas de l'Obélisque de Mazargues, nous avons passé une semaine formidable à Marseille. La maison est parfaitement équipée, l'accueil chaleureux, la situation avec piscine et jardin privé insolite. Merci pour tout!

A vist to greet my great nephews birth.

We enjoyed our week at the Villa very much. Laurence and Jean were excellent, kind,attentive hosts answering our several enquiry's promptly. The Villa was ample for 6people with a large ,well equipped kitchen, though on arrival we were surprised to find it necessary to have to clean several utensils before using them.The pool was great and it was good to have the security of being in a gated property. Away from the tourist track, there were plenty of local shops in easy walking distance with a good grocer's and small store for basics adjacent to the Obelisk.For a more extensive stop E.Leclerc is10 mins away by car and has a great Poissonnerie.Keen cooks we ate in mostly, the villa lending itself to long evenings and lunches but we would particularly recommend Chez Paul at Les Goudes for a seafood meal with home made pizza's and pasta for the kids, the restaurant overlooking a small working harbour. On arrival we were advised that the family cat preferred the Villa to Laurence's other homes so we were asked if we minded feeding her ,which we didn't;however it would be prudent to mention this to future clients when they book given some may have allergies to cat fur. Our stay coincided with hotter than normal weather for late June and like a previous guest had posted, we found the bedrooms got very warm.As such we came prepared with several fans but suggest these should be available for future clients.We also found the pillows were very varied in size and mostly uncomfortable, either lumpy or hard or both and certainly not conducive to a good sleep.Clients should expect better quality given the weekly rental rate. Would we rent again, yes we would, with the above issues addressed.

Les points forts: - L’emplacement et le calme de la maison avec l’avantage d’être située dans une allée privée sécurisée en plein cœur de Marseille. - Piscine agréable de taille suffisante pour se rafraîchir. Points faibles: - la climatisation n’est présente que dans les pièces du bas (salon et cuisine), la chaleur est étouffante la nuit dans les chambres à l’étage même en tenant les volets clos dans la journée. - La maison est ancienne et même si quelques pièces sont rénovées elle nécessiterait quelques travaux d’entretien - Nous avons payé trois heures de ménage à notre départ nous aurions aimé trouver une maison propre à notre arrivée. Le ménage a été fait superficiellement et beaucoup d’éléments sont à remplacer (balais wc /oreillers /nettoyage Four/éléments de cuisine...). - Sachez que vous devrez nourrir quotidiennement le chat de la maison très gentil au demeurant et qui reste à l’extérieur. - Caution démesurée par rapport aux prestations de la maison.

Schönes, ruhig gelegenes Haus mit Wohlfühlatmosphäre

Wir haben zwei Wochen im Haus von Laurance verbracht. Der Kontakt ist wirklich sehr nett und unkompliziert. 15 Minuten fährt man ca. bis zum Strand oder in schöne kleine Buchten. Schnorcheln, schwimmen, buddeln, SUP, es blieben keine Wünsche offen! Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und vor allem der Garten mit Pool bietet absolutes Urlaubsfeeling! Der Pool hatte zwischen 26 und 29 Grad und unsere beiden Töchter (3&4) und waren begeistert. Liegen und Lounge draußen waren in Ordnung und man konnte gut darauf entspannen. Die Betten in den 3 Schlafzimmern waren alle okay und auch die Bäder waren in Ordnung. Klimaanlage gibt es allerdings nur unten im EG. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die Küche, die ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und war auch nicht tadellos sauber. Uns hat das kaum gestört. Was wir brauchten haben wir ggf. selbst sauber gemacht und es lief! Noch gut zu wissen, es gibt einen Kater, der zum Haus gehört und den wir gefüttert haben. Er war bei Regen auch mal drin. Unsere Mädels haben sich gefreut... Alles in allem ein tolles Haus für einen schönen Familienurlaub!

The villa is well situated in a very quiet, secure area close to bus stops, bakeries, restaurants and shops. We loved this French style villa and the kids had great fun in the pool. We highly recommend this villa to families!

My stay at Le Paradou, Marseille

The House was comfortable, we spent most afternoons either in the pool and had dinner on the terrace, the pool was nice to cool down and with a little day to day maintenance was perfect, the only thing I would want in the house would have been a larger shower, it was a bit small and the kitchen was showing signs of wear and tear, but overall a very pleasant place, the port was only 3.2 k away there is a regular bus service the number 21, although we drove down each time, about 15min, the old port is always buzzing, lots of tourists and many restaurants, there are a few boat trips to the local islands, beautiful scenery. and the Notra Dame is a must to visit.

Excellent séjour passé en couple dans cette villa. Maison meublée avec goût, d'un calme olympien vous apprécierez aussi sa terrasse et piscine ! De plus la situation géographique est parfaite (bus, métro). Des navettes mènant jusqu'à cassis se trouvent au pied de la maison. Nous y reviendrons volontiers !!!!! Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute et très serviables et peuvent vous donner des conseils appropriés pour le tourisme, restaurants et autres conseils.

Nous avons passé un formidable séjour dans cette superbe maison, très bien equipée.

La situation de cette maison est parfaite. Très près des calanques, mais aussi pas loin du centre ville (environ 20 à 25 min en bus/métro). Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le jardin avec la piscine, le barbeque, la terrasse. Il est très calme bien que la maison soit près du centre. Laurence, la propriétaire est très gentille, nous a tout expliqué (surtout la piscine) et elle n'habite pas loin s' il y a des questions. On a passé 10 jours fantastiques et on aimerait bien revenir.

Un bon spot pour des vacances à Marseille

Emplacement idéal. La maison est située en zone résidentielle, dans une rue fermée par un portail électrique, accessible uniquement par les résidents, au calme mais à proximité des commerces et des plages. Elle est bien desservie par les transports en commun; il faut une vingtaine de minutes pour arriver sur le Vieux Port par la RTM et une dizaine pour rejoindre la plage de la Pointe Rouge (en auto). Maison très agréable. L'équipement de la maison est satisfaisant avec une mention spéciale pour la climatisation des pièces du bas. La wifi marche dans toutes les pièces. Les sanitaires sont en bon état et généreusement dimensionnés. L'équipement de la cuisine sera un point faible si comme moi vous aimez cuisiner; les couteaux sont émoussés, seuls 2 feux de la plaque de cuisson (gaz) fonctionnent, les verres sont en nombre trop restreint... mais rien de nature à gâcher le séjour. Les extérieurs. La piscine est petite mais elle remplit parfaitement son rôle et laisse suffisamment de place pour les transats. On y trouve à toutes les heures du jour un endroit au soleil et un autre ombragé. Les moins : nous n'avons dénombré que 3 transats; si vous venez à 6, pensez aux gonflables et il faut laisser le robot nettoyeur branché à son tuyau (même quand il ne tourne pas) ce qui empiète la surface utile de la piscine. Enfin, si vous n'êtes pas allergique aux poils de chat, vous apprécierez la compagnie discrète et bienveillante du chat de la maison. En conclusion: Un excellent spot pour découvrir Marseille et ses alentours et qui vous laisse la possibilité de goûter à la vie trépidante de la ville tout en bénéficiant en soirée du calme de la campagne.

Quiet, private and charming.

Located on a private road this detached house with a pool feels comfortable and is set up in a homely way. There is plenty of space inside but it is the pool and terrace that really set it apart. A real sun trap that is excellent morning, noon and night. Being off the main road it is in a quiet location. Mazargues is an area where the French live and work rather than a tourist hotspot. However there are local bars and a few restaurants (especially 'le Jardin) that will appeal. Do visit the war cemetery 10 minutes walk from the house. The Stade Velodrome and Borely Beach are both walkable but there are also bus stops at the end of the road. Supermarket, bakery, butchers a few minutes walk from the door. The owners were very friendly and helpful and communication was smooth. If I were returning to the area south of the city I would re book this property.

A wonderful house, in a lovely location!

The house was very beautiful. Lovely pool. Large kitchen. BBQ was great. The location of property was very good. Not a far walk into town, within 10 minutes of Stade Velodrome. Great access to public transport. The owners were very friendly and very helpful. Lovely people.
