About this property

Getaway at The Magnolia Suite - Pool, Hot tub, fire pit, kayaks, & lake access!

Come enjoy the warm weather at this lakefront guest suite located in the historic Magnolia House. Surrounded by beautiful acreage, woods, and BREATHTAKING unrestricted lake views! Play corn hole, life size chess/checkers, take a dip in the pool, play in the sand area or on the playground, make some delicious food on the grill, cozy up by the fire pit and roast some s'mores, swim or kayak in the cleanest water on Weiss Lake, watch AMAZING sunsets from the dock! SO much to do on property!

Other guests may stay on property but this unit is private and has the best views. Have boats or watercraft of your own? Bring them! We have a boat ramp right onsite and plenty of room for your trailers, as well as docking. Play volleyball, corn hole, Beersbie, ladder golf, giant Jenga or just play in the cleanest, coolest water on the lake. The water comes right out of the mountains and dumps right at our feet. Great fishing as well in season. We are actually in one of the best areas to fish, right near Little River and Spring Creek! Eat s'mores by the campfire at the beach and watch AMAZING sunsets! String Light courtyard, privacy, and plenty of room to stretch out! SO much to do!

Not only is there so much to do on the property, there is also so much to do off property! Rent a boat or jet skis, hike, see the falls, do caving, rappelling or ziplines, all in close proximity. Close to Pirate's Bay (water park), DeSoto Falls, Cherokee Rock Village, Little River Canyon, Orbitz Glassblowing, snow skiing, horseback riding, endless trails, rappelling, caving and ziplining. We are in the ABC triangle meaning we are an hour & a half from the Atlanta, Birmingham, & Chattanooga Airports. Of course we are a HUGE fishing lake so bring your boat or do a fishing excursion.

The views are incredible and the house has 1870 charm mixed with 21st century décor and conveniences. Breathtaking views of the lake and lawns and you can even see how the sunset pours colors into the house at "golden hour". We also have LOTS of stars, it just gets better & better!

Why they chose this property

Looking to get away? Looking to vacation at the lake? We are minutes from DeSoto Falls, Little River Canyon, Yellow Creek, Pirates Bay water park (summer only) and Orbix Hot Glass. Hiking, rock climbing, white water rafting and rappelling all in close proximity. Also we are ON THE LAKE! :-) We have a shared private beach area and dock and we rent a pontoon boat right onsite in warmer months. Book ahead as this boat is available to the public, first come basis. Complimentary kayaks and canoe and floats. Two fire pits (one propane and one wood-burning), volleyball, string light courtyard. Very remote yet only 10-20 minutes to grocery/Walmart and restaurants and 30-35 minutes to everything you need. Make memories of a lifetime. Just to make sure you know what you are booking: you have one suite inside a large old house. This listing is NOT the entire house. :-) No surprises, right? Yes, it has happened.

We have many more smaller units on the property, one that sleeps 59+ and one that sleeps 71+ is youre looking for more space! Ask us about them :) We can host retreats, family reunions, parties or corporate functions.

What makes this property unique

This historic home was built in 1870 by the Webbs. It was originally built down the hill where the lake is now. (When the water level drops you can still see the giant tree stumps from the two trees that were in the front yard). When the lake was built in late 50's, the owners of the house had it moved uphill so the house could be saved from impending flooding. Since they were then going to get a view of the lake, they turned the home so that the porches faced the new lake. The Poland family that purchased the property in the 1980's added glass to the front porches for four season enjoyment. The original front of the home, my favorite, faces the woods and has two OLD gigantic Magnolia tress; hence the name The Magnolia House. We bought it in 2017 and opened her up for events and for leisure travel.
