With over 5,000 square feet of luxurious living space and room for up to sixteen people, Polar Queen is a picture-perfect spot for hosting that large group getaway or Rocky Mountain family reunion that everyone will remember. Located on the exclusive Hood Park Road in magnificent Mountain Village, guests of Polar Queen will have easy ski access just down the road, lots of extraordinary gathering spaces, and exceptional mountain views from nearly every spot in the house.

The interior design of Polar Queen is refreshingly bright and modern, with sleek details and an airy and open GREAT ROOM. This stylish gathering space is anchored by a contemporary center fireplace with rustic stone detail. On one side of the fireplace is a comfortable LIVING AREA with chic leather furniture and gorgeous views. On the other side of the fireplace is the DINING ROOM, with jewel tones velvet chairs and access to the sunny outdoor DECK.

In between these two spaces lies the impressive chef’s KITCHEN. Custom, charcoal cabinets are topped with gorgeous slabs of white and gray quartz. On one end of the kitchen is the grand Viking range, with double ovens, a griddle, and a built-in vent hood. The other end of the kitchen houses the spacious, paneled refrigerator. There’s also a lovely island with plenty of bar stool seating, while overhead the soaring cathedral ceiling is bisected with exposed wood beams.

Take the stairs up to the LOFT overlooking the great room. Here you’ll have access to a dedicated office area, as well as a private, tree-house-like DECK SPACE that holds a bubbly, blissful hot tub. This is a perfect spot to relax with a bottle of wine and gaze up at the stars after spending an epic day on the nearby ski slopes or hiking trails.

The PRIMARY BEDROOM SUITE is the only bedroom located on the main level and features a luxe king-size bed, huge windows with breathtaking mountain views, and an ensuite bathroom. Just above this room is a unique OPEN LOFT with a twin-size bed— ideal for a small child.

Take the stairs down to the lower level, where you’ll find another delightful, SECONDARY LIVING SPACE, complete with a sectional sofa piled high with vibrant throw pillows, a fireplace, a wet bar, and a large HDTV for movie night. Also on this level, you’ll find a GUEST BEDROOM with two twin-size beds as well as another GUEST BEDROOM with a king-size bed and an ensuite full bathroom. A third GUEST BEDROOM has a queen-size bed and an attached full bathroom.

In the wood-paneled BUNK ROOM, there are two twin-over-full-size bunks plus a twin-size day bed with a twin-size trundle. In total, this room can accommodate eight people easily. Next to this fun bunk space is a GAME ROOM with a pool table, leather sofa bed, and HDTV.

With an exclusive Mountain Village location, easy access to some of the best ski slopes and hiking trails in the world, truly jaw-dropping views, and tons of special extras, a stay at Polar Queen is sure to accomplish the impossible and please everyone in your group. A winters retreat
Stayed in February for a week with fam and friends. Place was great. Good size--multifloors was nice with kids--they could get lost "downstairs." Hot tub was very nice. Place was large and roomy. Only downside was that it snowed a little while we were there and our vehicle was not able to back out of the driveway and then drive up the road--i.e., every time we backed out and onto the road we were stuck unable to drive up the road (and thus, toward the gondola) b/c the road is sloped and our wheels spun. So, we would have to reverse down the road for about 100 yards to a flatter section and then start the trek up. The fix for this is easy: don't rent a two-wheel drive minivan if you're going in the winter. This is not a problem with the house--just a problem of not having the right vehicle for winter weather in the mountains. We'd go back. Nice place.

Great place
This place is pretty much just like the pictures show. Plenty of rooms and beds, as well as basics for cooking, some games, and sleds.

There were greta things and not os great things...
We thought the deck should have been three to four times bigger. Also the bunkroom should have it's own shower. The impact in our case of 8 people using the main floor shower was intense to say the least! The views were magnificent and rainbows every nigh, that past was magical. Telluride has done an excellent job of making sure getting around is easy . The kitchen was as well supplied as any rental I've ever been in. We cooked every night for 20 so it was wonderful to have a fully stocked kitchen.,
