Hiking, Biking and Fall colors. Open for relaxation year round.
A Loft in the Woods' is nestled off of Hwy 21 on the Grand Bend side of the Pinery Provincial park entrance, across from Rus-Ton campground. We are in a central area close to shopping, a museum, weekly flea markets and fruit and vegetable stands. There are 5 different beaches to visit with 20 minutes. If you enjoy spending the day at the beach but would like to sleep where it's quiet, this is the place for you. Perfect for bird watchers or hikers, with newly paved trails for biking. Very clean. The loft has a full kitchen with a dishwasher and bathroom with tub, both bedrooms have queen beds, wifi, BBQ and private fire pit. Linens and towels provided.
It's one of those hidden gem kind of places that you just never want to leave. Quiet, serene and relaxing, yet close enough to the action if you crave a good pub and some live music. Many properties for rent in this area are all bunched together with other rentals. If you rent downtown grand bend or water front you pay more, and run the risk of spending your vacation dealing with excessive noise from drunken parties, dogs in unfamiliar surroundings and barking all night or just obnoxious groups of people you can't avoid. We are the only rental in this area, so the only noise is your own and nights are quiet and serene. No one else's loud music, no drunk and disorderly types wandering around at all hours and no barking dogs. It is called Loft in the woods because it is a 'Loft'. It is a completely separate upper living space with it's own parking, entrance, outside yard and fire pit area. It is a space all it's own with nothing shared no houses beside or behind, only woods. By which of course we mean trees, or forest. If you have any questions, please feel free to send us an email.

This is a great place in a great location. You dont get the full property which I didnt realize until after we arrived. There are multiple units in house, but it didn't negatively effect our stay.
If you want to spend time at the Pinery Provincial Park but can't get a campsite or don't want to camp, this is a great location. It is only a couple minutes down the road from the main entrance. The kitchen is equipped with everything to cook meals and a grocery store is a six minute drive. This is the second time we have stayed here and we able to enjoy a new deck which was added since our last visit. Everything was great!
My family was camping at the Pinery Park about 5 minutes away. I stay at this every year because I have an issue with my neck that requires that I sleep in a bed.
The loft is exactly as pictured. I would come in just as it was getting dark and leave around 8 am after a nice shower. The loft is perfect for my needs!
I hope to be back next year.
Restful 4 days. A negative would be the hard mattress in the master bedroom. I think the DVD could have been set up and a note to let guests know where the outside lights switch on and where the outside cushions are stored. The property was very clean and owner approachable. We have been going to Grand Bend for many years and primarily we’re there to join my son and partner who were camping in the Pinery. We were blessed with beautiful weather.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It had all the amenities that we needed and more. We were worried about reviews of the road noise but it was barely noticeable. We would definitely consider staying here in the future.
Great convenient location, close to everything. Loft was very clean and can comfortably host a family of 4. Kitchen is fully equipped and great bike trails nearby.
Would definitely return for another vacation !
My partner and I stayed at the loft for a winter weekend getaway. We loved the area and all the amenities in the loft. I highly recommend Loft in the Woods for anyone looking to get away for a weekend of relaxation surrounded by nature.
Not exactly as advertised, great angles on pictures
This is not a large property you are renting. The unit itself is nice, but there is no way you vsn sleep 6 in there.
As for privacy, the property is located in the back of properties that are linked to the road, so it seems like you are driving onto other's property.
I addition, if you want privacy, this "loft" is the upper unit and we could easily hear the occupants downstairs.
The property is located just a short drive to Grand Bend, so physical location was as deacribed.
We had a fabulous time at this property! It was clean, cozy and peaceful and was situated minutes way from the hiking trails at Pinery Park and delicious restaurants in Grand Bend. We enjoyed morning runs on the paved walkways just outside the property and the fall colours were spectacular. Farzad was very responsive and answered any questions we had. The private entrance made it feel like we were renting a cottage all to ourselves. We would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again soon!

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Thanksgiving Weekend
Fire pit is wonderful. Kitchen is extremely well equipped.
Very disappointed in sleeping arrangements. Listing states sleeps six when it clearly does not. Only 4 chairs at table so when we had our family for Thanksgiving there was no where to sit or sleep.
Beds were hard as a rock, we had to go home and get a mattress topper.
Coffee maker didn’t work.
Bathtub had no plug, so unable to have a bath.
No hairdryer
Location is EXTREMELY close to highway, was woken up every morning at 5.00am with transport trucks.
No drapes or blinds in main room was uncomfortable.
Steps are very difficult to get to loft if you are elderly or have elderly guests.

The listing does say it sleeps 6 because that is our max occupancy.
The loft has 2 queen beds, and we provide mattress for extra guests if requested. We prepare the loft keeping in mind the people staying. In Cindy's case extra guest were not requested nor confirmed with us.
Even then, we are able to provide extra chairs, mattress and toppers if requested at anytime.
Coffee maker is working, but some outlets have no power and are marked not to use.
Yes the loft has flight of stairs that is not accessiblilty friendly, and will not be suitable for elders. The location is is nestled off of Hwy 21 and at times we do hear the traffic when outside the home.
The property was awesome everything was good the only thing I didn't like was the steps going upstairs there were wooden and very dangerous for elderlies other than that it was awesome.
We had a couple issues. The air conditioner stopped working, but Farzad did everything he could to make us comfortable. Things happen. Very clean and comfortable. Thankful for all the extra tv show options on the rainy days.

Hi Rudy,
Thank-you for your review and the kind words.
The air conditioner breaking down was not ideal, if you do ever decide to visit us in the off peak season, we will surely offer you guys a special rate.
Thanks
The location is excellent. It is set back from the highway so you don’t hear any highway noise. Close to both grand bend and pinery provincial park. And driving distance to many other locals in the region.
We were provided with a pass to the park which was an added and unexpected perk.
The owners are very pleasant people and very accommodating. They were on site when we checked in and assisted us and bringing in our luggage.
We had a very restful time of it. It is a recommended location
Some electrical plugs are not active so that you may find the cell phone battery is not charged in the morning.
But all what we need was there and fully enjoyed the cottage.
Just FYI… Since we enjoy woods in SW Ontario, there are poison ivy in the property back of fire pit.
Really blew our expectations. We had 2 large bedrooms, sufficient for a couple and if you have a portable crib (we did not). Bathroom is clean and spacious.
Kitchen is well equipped with all the amenities and cutlery, including a Oster Coffee machine and a nice toaster, Juicer etc. We came with ours in case but it had professional ones as well.
Close to the Pinery (where we spend our time), close to everything else and super host.
The fire pit is clean and enjoyable.
Take bug spray and you will be fine.
Super stay.
It is central to so many beaches and interesting activities. Quiet and private with nothing shared.
What makes this property unique
This property is right close to all the action. We are the only rental in this area, so nights are quiet and serene. No loud music, no drunk and disorderly types, not even a barking dog. It's much nicer to visit the hot spots when you feel like some action, and leave when you want quiet.
