To Chuck and family, We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Our time there seemed to fly by. The comfort and the location was perfect. We can't wait to come visit again. Thanks again Chuck!!!!
Roomy cottage with well supplied kitchen for a 30 day stay. Location is good as you are 15 min from anything in Honolulu and about an hour to North Shore with traffic. As the listing says, you do need a car. Walking distance to U of H. Communication great with owner.
We had the most wonderful stay while my daughter attended summer school and we visited family. The cottage is very private and tastefully decorated. We felt so at home from the minute we arrived. It was clean and well-appointed and so convenient to schools and family. An A+++ all the way. The outdoor shower was a nice surprise as well!
Chuck and his family were the best hosts. Once when some avocado tree branches near an AC unit needed to be cleared, he had someone there the next day. And we arrived back to find some freshly-picked avocados waiting for us on the porch. He had recommendations for food and dining that I hadn’t even heard of (though I am from Oahu)..
Thanks so much, Chuck, for such a lovely stay! We hope to return soon. Mahalo!
So sad to be leaving as we loved everything about this cottage. It was our home away from home for 6 weeks. We’ll miss the lush yard, outdoor shower / living space, the well-appointed & spacious mid-century interior, the washer/dryer as well as the cottage’s perfect location (just a short walk to Univ. of Hawaii). Nothing could’ve made this cottage any better or more welcoming! Mahalo, Chuck & family, for your aloha and care!
I rented this cottage as a place to stay while doing the 14 day quarantine and then getting my son set up for his freshman year at UHM. We couldn’t have found a more perfect spot! We were warmly welcomed and found fresh fruit and all the amenities waiting for us. The cottage was just lovely, clean and modern and beautifully decorated in old Hawaiian style. The yard surrounding the cottage (which we didn’t see on the vrbo pictures) was a beautiful surprise, with palms, patios, a lanai with a view, an outdoor shower and a bbq. It gave us a little spot to be outside and enjoy the feel of the island while on “lockdown”. The landlords are the sweetest family And were very helpful. Oh, and the laundry room was better than ours at home! If we were actually there on vacation it would have been perfect too, with beach towels and supplies (including reef friendly sunscreen and aloe Vera, beach toys and chairs, and more).
I hope I can go back someday to stay there while visiting my son!
