About this property

Morning Mist - Beautiful Cabin in the Arts & Crafts Community

Morning Mist is a charming, comfortable and very tastefully decorated cabin that has so much to offer. Located close to the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. The bear themed living room features a stone accented gas fireplace with cathedral ceilings and faux suede sofa and love seat for your comfort. Just off the living area you will find a fully equipped kitchen with every thing you'll need to cook and prepare a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner for entire party and find a stylish wood dining table that seats 6. Also, on the main level is a beautiful king bedroom with flat screen TV and nearby full bath which is roomy enough that the washer, dryer, iron and ironing board are located in a spacious closet inside the bathroom. For your convenience, this bathroom is also accessible from the main living area of the cabin. Take in the fresh mountain air, grill some burgers and steaks on the gas grill or soak away your aches and pains in the steamy outdoor covered hot tub, or if you prefer a bit more sun, step onto the adjoining open deck where you will find an attractive picnic table and benches. Take a quick trip upstairs and you'll enter the loft game room with a pool table that is open to the living area. Off the game room is a wonderful, sturdy king size bed with a flat screen TV mounted on the wall at the foot of the bed. Behind a privacy door is a additional sleeping area built in the dormer with a twin size bed... perfect for a young child. Adjacent to the bedroom is a full bath with attractive tile flooring and roomy shower with a corner seat. As an added convenience there is wireless internet just in case you need to check your email or browse the web. No smoking please.

Gatlinburg cabin stay
Nice little cabin, could use some updating and a really good Spring clean. Beds could use some new mattresses as well. Overall was not a bad location or place to stay for the price.

Relaxing
Great location, very clean, very cozy cabin. I will definitely book this cabin again. Communication with management was excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even called me to make sure that I was enjoying the cabin and if I needed anything.

DO NOT STAY HERE - Worst Travel Experience
Beware! This listing is managed by Eagle Property Management - NOT by an individual property owner! This trip was the worst travel experience I have ever had. We were contacted on our drive to the cabin (about 3 hours prior to check in) and told our cabin would NOT be available the evening we had booked to arrive. The property company that called informed us they had another cabin available for us but that it was only 2 bedrooms and only available for the first 2 nights, so we would have to move to our original booking when it became available. The cabin they placed us in was 30 minutes away from the original booking and was in Pigeon Forge, not Gatlinburg as we had booked. We specifically booked this cabin due to the proximity to the wedding venue which we would be spending the majority of our time at. We found a toenail in the bed which our toddler was supposed to sleep in. After staying one night in the temporary cabin (which only had 2 bedrooms) we moved to the original cabin - Morning Mist - so that we could take advantage of the additional private sleeping area with the twin bed for our toddler. The additional sleeping area door had been removed and was no longer a private area as mentioned in the listing. Additionally, the beds were not on their frames and the box spring for one of the king beds was broken. When we called the maintenance team as directed by the property management company the broken box spring was fixed with a broom handle and electrical tape. We had to call twice as the maintenance person did not show up the first time and ended up having them come to fix the bed at 10:30pm instead of 4pm when we first called. I had to physically put the twin bed back on the frame and put the frame together as it was not even appropriately put together. Additionally, the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were not in place on the walls so we were not protected during our stay. The conditions of this cabin were unacceptable and the situation was NOT handled appropriately.

Heavily used cabin that could use some attention
Yes it is a nice overall cabin. But it needs some TLC and pride of ownership. Gutters have weeds growing in, some siding is rotting, deck needs power washed. But the worst part was the urine smell on the car siding wood wall bathroom. It's probably about a 20 year old cabin that is heavily used and rented. So beds ,sheets, counter tops, floors show it. Better then a motel room but could use some improvements. There is a beautiful view off back deck if they could cut down a few trees! It had what we needed- a hot tub and two bathrooms, two bedrooms. Definitely needs a through deep cleaning, and replace that wood bathroom wall with tile. The contact button through the app just does a auto return message to book it now from Brad --to any question you ask..lol. The property manager needs to be assigned to that, we had to call them during normal business hours.
