The neighborhoods of Boulevards is the charm of small towns, in the immediate vicinity of a large urban center. Evidenced by their organization around the central square and the church, like that of Saint-Amand in Caudéran, district of Bordeaux which was until 1957 a full-fledged municipality.
This predominantly residential area is marked by a form of housing very typical of the Bordeaux region, the stall. Numerous in this area, these are originally rudimentary housing built around the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries for workers. The presence of old and majestic country houses, the Charterhouses, also complete this singular architecture.
In addition, this area of the city offers important recreational areas including the Parc Bordelais. This 28-hectare site is home to a wildlife park, a small train, the Guignol Guérin puppet theater and offers many walking paths.

In Caudéran, the century old club Villa Primrose is a place dedicated to the practice of tennis and field hockey. True greenery of more than 3 hectares, the structure is among others endowed with 17 courts. A major international tennis tournament is held every year in May, ATP BNP Paribas Primrose. The Caudéran district also hosts the Golf Bordelais with its 18-hole course that opened in 1900.
