Quick walk to the beach

Host is very responsive, had a few questions, got back to us right away. Close to the beach, they have beach chairs ( bonus) . Great place for the price , stayed 10days .

Exactly what we needed. Very clean inside. Outside could use a pressure wash. Great location. Full kitchen is there but I would not cook--eye missing on stove and no vent. Again, those did not bother us at all. We did not plan to cook. Everything was great for us.

Great stay for the second time

If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable and clean home in a wonderful part of Jax Beach, look no further! The owner is great to work with and communicative. The rate is super reasonable and our Boston Terrier loved all the great places to walk. Although it is an older property and not fancy, the owner has done a nice job of continuing to update the interior..Thanks for another perfect stay, Zac!

Perfect location for a weekend stay

Communication was great, ready in time, prime location, loved that I could close the fence gate behind my car. My doodles loved being able to run. Home was clean and well kept and stocked. Easily walk Distance to most places, Water gets superHot which is always good. Beds are comfy. Perfect for our weekend needs to go see the rodeo!The only thing I would note for the owners may be to call an exterminator as we did see quite a bunch of water bugs. (Main bath and cook top/stove in kitchen)x I live in Florida and know it happens but would be a good idea to have someone come in. Other than that, we will absolutely stay here again when we return.

Perfect combination of comfort and beach

Really nice place to stay. We came so that I could have back surgery at the Mayo, and this place had the best combination of comfortable chairs and a short walk to the beach. Truly, all the other VRBO options we saw had furniture that appeared to be chosen for looks rather than usability. We walked to the beach every day pre-surgery, and I was grateful for the comfortable chairs both before and after the surgery. Everything else was normal and pleasant for a VRBO. The floors do have a little bit of a crackly noise when walking on them. The only way I can imagine this being a problem is if one person is trying to focus while teleworking while others in the household are pacing around. The neighborhood is very quiet. Both showers have showerheads that were a few inches above our 6' heads, so no ducking was necessary. I look forward to returning. We did a fair bit of teleworking at the desk and it was a comfortable setup (I brought along a lightweight portable monitor that makes it much easier.). Many small thoughtful touches.

I am a long time renter and recent host. I moved to Orlando, Florida when I was six and stayed there through college. I know live in beautiful Jax Beach! I love travelling and seeing as many different places as I can. Opening up my home to fellow travelers and helping them get the "local experience" is one of my favorite things. Also willing to give any advice or tips to guests!

Why they chose this property

I have bounced around all of Florida and never really felt at home until I came to Jax Beach. I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the feeling of one of the last true surfer towns in Florida.
The house as a lot of the original Florida home amenities with the wood cabinets, doors, and flooring (well the flooring is newer wood but I tried to keep it authentic looking).
I have made several remodels to the home with new paint, redoing the bathrooms, new flooring, etc. but have tried to preserve the Florida mystique as much as possible.
I hope you love this house as much as I do!

What makes this property unique

My favorite thing about this house is the location. If you don't want to drive your car during your entire stay, then you don't have to. All of the restaurants and bars are in walking distance (although I recommend a bike).
Being able to walk to the beach and back and not pack up a car for the trip is truly incredible.
