My Ohana 30+ days

Owner hosted - The place is walking distance to Magic Sands and Kahalu'u beach park. The place is about 770 sq/ft and it has a nice size lanai equipped with its own bbq grill and beach gear. The place is located a 1/2 block off of Ali'i Drive. The bedroom has a king size bed nd there is one bath, including AC and a TV. A kitchen with the basics and a large bbq grill right out the door to cook a great meal. A table with sitting for four. The living room has a queen size pull out
There are beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler.

I would highly recommend this Ohana if you are staying in the Kona area of the Big Island. The place is stocked with just about anything you need from kitchen items, to beach necessities, to luggage holders. One thing I really appreciated was that all the kitchen cupboards & drawers are labeled so you know where something is & where it needs to be returned.The proximity to shopping & beaches ia great too.

Overall, my family and I enjoyed this place very much and would gladly stay here again if we return to the Kona region. We do; however, have a couple of suggestions. (1) Check-in would have been easier if each unit had a name - even just 'A' or 'B' - posted clearly near the door. We saw other guests having the same problem as us not knowing which unit we were in. (2) There was very little space for us to store our clothes. Simple, inexpensive, cubbies would have helped.

It's a 1-BR with a sofa bed, and was plenty big enough for our family of four. If anything, the apartment was larger than we expected it to be. Everything was clean, the kitchen was fully equipped (we used it), and the unexpected plethora of snorkeling supplies, in addition to beach chairs and boogie boards, saved us some money. Rosalba was great with communications (willing to shift to email when my phone couldn't handle the VRBO app), and the simplified check-out process was easy to handle. Worth noting that the apartment is walking distance to Kahalu'u Beach park as well as Magic Sands. If we were to come to Kailua-Kona again, we would likely seek out this specific rental -- great location, clean and spacious for a 1-BR, beach gear, and reasonably priced for the area!

This Kona stay as everything!

We enjoyed all the comforts of home while in Kona; including Wi-Fi and a private patio for lounging Our host provided boogie boards, beach umbrella, coolers etc. so we could head straight to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located. Rosalba responded quickly to answer all our questions. We will definitely stay here again!!!

Magic Sands stay

Great location with 2 nearby beaches. Lots of water toys were available and we went snorkeling and swimming. Quite and secluded space. Perfect place for our cat hazel, watching the birds and taking walks in the yard. Highly recommend.

Great owner to deal with, she supplied beach chairs and umbrella. Even snorkeling gear. The location is near the water and beach. Only wish would be to have a bit better bed. It was a bit small and too soft.

Home away from home

This property was a great location, clean and had all the necessities. It had a well stocked kitchen which made our living experience so smooth. It also had a washer and dryer which was so convenient. I was surprised by the size of the space. It was much more roomy than the pictures showed. I’d recommend this rental to anyone.
