Two bedrooms include 4 twin beds, den or 3rd bedroom with sofa sleeper and sun room with futon. Outdoor recreation area for summer or winter. Enjoy wildlife and landscape photography. One mile to the PCT trail. Waterfall at McArthur Burney Falls Park is breathtaking. Snowmobile parks, sledding, downhill/cross country skiing offered at Mt. Shasta an hour an half drive. Those with the exploring spirit visit the Subway Caves located in Old Station. Fall River Mills boasts a golf course with beautiful mountain vistas. Mt. Lassen 1 hour journey well worth the trip. Not recommended for young children. Bluff and river behind house. Only shows available in VRBO if renting 3 nights or more.

Hat Creek Paradise

The hosts were very responsive to several special requests we had during our stay. The house is absolutely beautiful and the setting on the river is perfect. The fish are plentiful and the wildlife is abundant, we saw the otters!

Wonderful property, very clean with great accommodations. The thoughtful details of the fully stocked kitchen and overall organization by the owners was one of the best I have experienced on VRBO. Of course the peaceful location made it truly a perfect vacation experience!

Awesome place!

Quiet and serene location. Very comfortable home for our group. Great proximity to Fall River for outdoor activities. House well equipped - great deck and BBQ over water. Excellent hosts!! We'll be back.

Perfect setting for fishing and wildlife

This was a perfect place to stay for our short (3 day fishing trip. The Hosts were very responsive to questions. And being able to takes the steps from the patio down to Hat Creek to fish was perfect. The house was well-equipped and so much wildlife (geese, ducks, wide variety of birds, river otters, muskrat.). Really perfect.

Linda B was always accommodating, prompt and polite. The peanut butter candies reflect her overall attention to detail. Amazing property location, a few steps to Hat Creek. The house was clean and very well stocked with everyday needs. Wonderful views from the open living spaces (living room and excellent sunroof adjacent to the deck overlooking creek and mountains). Quiet and Nourishing

We loved our week at the Hat Creek House. It is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very cooking friendly with good supplies We ate most meals in the sun deck. Perfect. The deck is a great place overlooking what we viewed as a bird sanctuary above and beyond Hat Creek We did see river otters once, and deer every day in the front yard. Caught two nice trout with minimal fishing. It was a heat wave while there, but the AC worked fine. Linda Bowers was beyond good as host. She even loaned us rubber rafts to float down the river one afternoon. We were there during a heat wavel

This is more than just a house; it's a destination. I viewed more wildlife from this house than any of our hikes combined. I couldn't tear myself away from the sunroom. We saw families of deer, ducks, geese, squirrels and so many birds! Had I not been able to go out exploring I would've been just fine letting nature come to me at this house. The home has all of the essentials with thoughtful considerations. The Mr. Coffee coffee maker was pleasant to enjoy a pot of coffee while watching the sunrises over the mountains. We appreciated being able to wash a load of laundry, the dishwasher to take care of dishes, and the ice maker in the freezer. The rooms are all comfortable. The two bedrooms are next to each other after walking in the front door. The room with the sofa bed and the sun room with the futon are on the opposite side of the house. It was great having the option to park in the garage for ease of loading our luggage the night before our early morning departure. We felt there was a great variety of games and enjoyed playing them (Uno, Boggle, Puzzles, Cards, etc.). Though it was a very far distance to travel for us, we cannot wait to return!!

Perfect location for fishing Hat Creek! Enjoyed the spaciousness of the kitchen and living area with 2 couches, and the deck for wildlife viewing and stargazing. Gracious hosts were very responsive to questions. Wonderful home base for our trips to Burney Falls and Lassen National Park. Would definitely stay again!

wonderful place

Great spot to fish and access the state and national parks. The sun room looking over the river is a wonderful spot to play cards or enjoy a meal. We spent so much time in that room as it was just a beautiful view. Will continue to go there every year i can.
