Casa Piscina or "Pool House" aptly describes this upscale property located in the safe and secure Villa Mercedes neighborhood of David. The house is completely furnished and has an amazing kitchen, pool and outdoor relaxation space with bar and hot tub. It also offers secure parking.

It is conveniently located between downtown, shopping areas and hospitals. Beaches, the border and Boquete are about a 45 minute drive.

Great amenities and location provide for a comfortable and restful stay.

Casa Piscina of course means that we have a beautiful pool - see the photos in our listing. The pool and covered outdoor entertainment deck are a great place to spend time relaxing or dining outdoors. There is also a hot tub for your use, a wet bar and an outdoor grill.

The kitchen is very spacious and offers a 6 burner gas stove with oven for your cooking needs. You will also find a coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, blender and full complement of pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, glasses and silverware for your use.

The living room is spacious and offers comfortable couches, a 55" Smart TV.

The bedrooms are well appointed and feature semi-orthopedic mattresses for a comfortable and restful sleep.

The house also has an office space in the entry foyer that features a large desk and chair. The entry area also has a a couch and occasional chair.

The entire house and all outdoor areas are available for guest use.

Co-Host Walter is always available by mobile phone / Whats-APP (preferred) or the Airbnb App should you have questions, need assistance, directions, recommendations, etc. Walter will always knock if he needs access to the house when guests are in residence. If you are not on the property he will enter the house on occasion to ensure that all of the systems are in operating condition and to make necessary repairs. He will not enter bedrooms without your permission as they are your private spaces.

Casa Piscina is located in the Urbanización Villa Mercedes neighborhood in the City of David. It is only 1 mile from the Pan-American Highway and close to the bustling downtown area as well as the new shopping district (PriceSmart membership shopping, City Mall, the new Terrazas de David and Federal Mall etc.) and all hospitals.

The area is very safe, as is the house itself. In typical country Panamanian city fashion and culture, it has a wrought iron fence and high walls surrounding the entire property.

The Urbanización Villa Mercedes area is a mix of older homes, most of which have undergone extensive remodeling and a few new custom-built homes. Doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, politicians, corporation executives, insurance brokers, business owners, reside in The Urbanización Villa Mercedes neighborhood. It is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in this small city of David. Speed limit says forty (40) kilometers per hour but there are neighbors' cats and dogs wandering the streets, so we drive slower than the minimum speed allowed; observe caution when driving in the Urbanización Villa Mercedes area.

Getting around is very easy with local taxis service like City Taxi thru Whats-App, and services like Uber (when available), but having a car is always the best option. The bus stop is just a few yards from our house should you would like to venture and see ciudad de David from a local's

The house is only 1 mile from the Pan-American Highway and even closer to local bus routes. There are two (02) car ports that suitable for SUVs and larger vehicles can park outside around the house, Villa Mercedes is a very safe neighborhood.

It only takes about forty (40) minutes to reach the downtown area of the mountain town of Boquete. La Barqueta beach on the pacific side is also some forty (40) minutes drive from our house.

The Caribbean town of Almirante, where you take the water taxi to go Isla Colón / Bocas Town, in Bocas del Toro Province is about three hours away. Used to be is a great drive on a paved road with many curves, hills and lush rainforest on both sides, today that road needs work on the track from the turn off to Almirante in Rambala, Chiriquí Grande to Almirante. Observe caution driving to or from Bocas del Toro because tractor -trailer trucks hauling world famous brand banana containers, delivery trucks carrying building materials and all kinds of dry goods and food stuff travel this road. For your safety, we suggest you travel this Bocas del Toro - Chiriquí Road during daylight hours. This road is a great motorcycle route too.

David is a great place to shop and just about any service can be found in the fast-growing country city. Big Box Stores, hardware stores, supermarkets, hospitals, veterinarians, hotels, hostels, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, cinemas, retail stores, travel agencies, customs brokers, lawyers, immigration services, credit unions, banks, car dealerships, motorcycle dealers, outboard engines mechanics, auto parts shops, marine parts stores, real estate brokers, mechanic shops, machine shops, small Pedegral marina, heavy equipment dealers, etc. can all be found in David.

Casa Piscina is just a few streets behind the new Mareasa (imported tractor truck and diesel engine parts retailer) building and Puma Gas Station before kilometer marker 441 on the Pan-American Highway track of Ciudad de David. From our Casa Piscina to Downtown David the distance is three (3) miles or approximately four point five (4.5) kilometers to Parque Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Park, where you can have close encounters with the park's friendly resident iguanas. About two point two (2.2) miles or 3.5 kilometers to PriceSmart membership shopping. 1.5 miles or 2.4 kilometers to Hospital Chiriquí. 1.5 miles or 2.4 kilometers to Centro Médico Hospital Mae Lewis. 2.5 miles or 4.1 kilometers to Super Barú on the Panamerican Highway. 2.7 miles to Supermercado Rey Supermarket, Do It Center hardware and home store, T.G.I Friday´s, Farmacias Arrocha Drugstore, etc. at Terronal Strip Mall on the Panamerican Highway. 3.5 miles or 5.9 kilometers to Terminal de Buses de David Bus Terminal. Casa Piscina is four point two (4.2) miles or six point eight (6.8) kilometers from Aeropuerto Internacional de David Enrique Malek International Airport in David (DAV airport code). The house is about thirty-six miles (36) or fifty-eight (58) kilometers from the Costa Rican Border, about forty (40) minutes' drive. 255 miles or 409 kilometers to Downtown, San José, Costa Rica.

Casa Piscina is a very comfortable house in one of the best neighborhoods in David. The house has air-conditioning in each bedrooms and in the living room.

David and the Provincia de Chiriquí are very important to the country of Panama, and we invite you to enjoy the culture, history and tropical wonders that can be found in the area.

Guests must be respectful of the property and our neighbors.

Quiet Hours are 10PM - 8AM Sunday through Thursday and 11PM - 9AM Friday and Saturday. This is a Residential Zoning District and noise should be minimized.

Parties and events are NOT ALLOWED without prior written approval from the host or co-host. A full description of the party or event must be submitted in writing to the host or co-host along with an estimated number of people who will be in attendance. Furthermore, the guest must agree to pay an additional fee should the party or event cause additional cleaning or repair and replacement of any broken or damaged property.

Children of all ages require supervision outside the house - especially in the pool area. This is a must because we have a pool and a hot tub on the premises.

Guests must make arrangements with Co-Host Walter Kawano to use the laundry facilities. There is a $5 Fee per load. Walter will be happy to assist you as needed.

Guests must wash all the kitchenware - Pots, Pans, Plates, Glasses, Cups and Silverware they use prior to departure.

All scrap or left over food should be placed in the green five gallon container next to the tall black plastic trash can near the pool bar.

All used glass bottles and used glass containers, plastic, plastic bottles, beer cans, and tin containers should be placed in the black plastic bin next to the tall black plastic trash can by the pool bar.

All broken glass bottles and broken glass containers should be placed in the yellow container next to the tall black plastic trash can by the pool bar.

All paper and cardboard should be placed in the black trash can next to the laundry room.

Please do not use glass containers in or around pool, or in or around the hot tub.

Please do not use the pool or hot tub when it is raining or when lightning activity is present.

Please do not run around pool or hot tub.

Please do not run in or around the house.

Please do not wear wet clothing in the house.

Please do not leave clothing or towels on the floor inside or outside the house.

Please turn off air-conditioning, lights and electric appliances when leaving the house for the day.

No additional overnight guests or visitors allowed in the house without host permission.

The number of guests in the house is limited to the numbers of guests initially booked in your reservation.

Additional guests or visitors require hosts preapproval and fees apply.

Twenty-Nine and 00/100 United States of America (USD$29.00) fee per additional person if authorized by co-host.

We reserve the right to deny admission to the property.

We reserve the right to access the property while guests are not on the premises to make sure all systems are operating properly and to do maintenance. If guests are at the house Walter will knock to gain access. Walter does not enter individual guest rooms without permission unless there is an emergency.

Only 1 improvement suggestion - The hot water was sometimes inconsistent in that one bathroom had more hot water than another bathroom....The house was spacious and exceeded our expectations. The outside was well kept and the pool maintained daily. Walter was very attentive and provided excellent service. He also guided us to the best places to eat. We could not have been happier with our choice.

Enjoyed our stay in David. Our host , Walter, was excellent and very helpful. Joined us for Cervzas on our first night. Sorry we got you in trouble with the wife. LOL. We kept him there longer than expected. House was clean and very comfortable. Very safe neighborhood. Only drawbacks were the dogs barking in the neighborhood, but that's city living. Not their fault. Pool was clean, cool and wonderful to get away from the heat in David. Walter and his wife greeted us when we arrived and explained everything. Excellent stay.

I discovered Panama in 2002 and have owned and operated a number of properties over the years. Most of my operations were focused in and around the coastal Caribbean town of Isla Colón in the Province of Bocas del Toro. My waterfront hostel (Casa Verde) was a gathering spot for young travelers seeking great food and fun. I sold the property in 2013 but the memories remain. My Tent Lodge (Palmar) is still in operation under different ownership right on the world famous Red Frog Beach. Sold in 2014 it remains a first class beach resort in the jungles of Bocas del Toro. After selling most of my properties in Bocas I chose to locate in the mountain region near Boquete and with the help of my co-host and his wife I operate a first class rental property overlooking the Rio Chiriqui Nuevo . It is a magical location with perfect weather, hiking trails and so much more.

My background is in hotels and restaurants and I strive to create memorable experiences for the many people I cater to. Casa Piscina is my latest endeavor and a great place for anyone wanting a base of operations in the bustling town of David. The pool and surrounding outdoor spaces are magical and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the warm tropical climate.

I am an avid fisherman and have been fortunate to travel the world in search of everything from marlin to food fish like Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Halibut and Rock Fish.

I also love food and have a well known restaurant in the United States that occupies most of my time. If you are ever in Destin, Florida please visit Fudpucker's Beachside Bar & Grill. You will find Great Food, Fun and Live Alligators in a family themed restaurant and entertainment complex boasting 32,000 square feet on multiple levels. Seasonal visits during the Spring, Summer and Fall are recommended if you want to get a feel for where the action is while the winter season slows to a crawl. Regardless, I hope you enjoy Casa Piscina and will visit me sometime soon.

Casa Piscina is nestled in the quiet residential neighborhood of Villa Mercedes with easy access to everything David and the surrounding area has to offer. Add to this the incredible pool and outdoor relaxation spaces as well as the superior furnishings and multitude of amenities offered at a fair price simply can't be beat.

Travel to the mountain regions of Boquete and Volcan as well as the Pacific Beaches is easy. You can enjoy everything from white water rafting to rock climbing, fishing and more to say nothing of shopping at great stores and even the discount outlets at the border.

Returning home to an air-conditioned home with all the amenities is a blessing.
