Whispering Oaks cabin

Secluded wooded lot in the gated community, Clifftops. Close to The University of the South, Sewanee. 2 bedrooms, with one king size bed and the guest room has a queen size bed; and a 3rd loft bedroom with two twin beds. Guest bedroom has a large chair that opens to a single bed. There is an air bed available. 2 full Bathrooms, one within the king size room and the other right outside the guest bedroom. There is also a changing table in the guest bedroom and a port a crib available in that closet, to be used anywhere. Fully equipped kitchen, screen porch, deck with gas grill and front deck as well. Nearby hiking trails, lake and pool. Tennis and pickle ball courts within the community. A wonderful, quiet place in the woods, on top of Monteagle Mountain. A great place to relax or gather with family.

Relaxing and Private

We wanted to escape the heat at home and get a taste of fall. This property delivered! We enjoyed the wooded lot and the quiet neighborhood. The grocery store was quite close and we were able to fix the majority of our meals at the house. We loved the screened in back porch and the sunshine on the open deck as well. My kids loved finding legos and kids games and books to play with. We were also close to great hiking and took advantage of hitting a few trails. Overall, it was a great experience and just what we needed.

Close, Quiet, & Comfortable

We loved our stay at whispering Pines. It was easy to get to close to Sewanee. Everything was clean and comfortable. Ann was extremely communicative. We would highly recommend her place.

Sewanee Drop Off

My husband and I stayed for two nights to drop off our boys at Sewanee. The house was perfect! We enjoyed cooking on the grill for the last two “home cooked” meals our boys will eat for a while. We will definitely stay again!

Comfortable cabin in the woods

The cabin was very comfortable for our group of 4+1kid and dogs. The inside living area was comfortable and spacious, although we spent a great deal of time on the porch and deck to enjoy the nice weather. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils and cook ware for those who like to prepare their own meals. The cabin is located conveniently close to the gate, so leaving for day trips and store runs was easy. Ann was a wonderful and helpful host and we would certainly keep this cagin on the list for future vists to the area.

Complete and Comfortable.

The cabin is just as described and could not have been more completely stocked and furnished. It was a wonderfully comfortable home for the Christmas holiday and we enjoyed it very much.

Whispering Oaks - Cliff Tops

The cabin has some wear on it but was good for our needs. The Monteagle area is lovely and Cliff Tops is a nice wooded and private community. The gate to get in the community was a little bit of a challenge due to the keypad and the local residence were very impatient with visitors trying to navigate the gate. The property owner was great. She was helpful and responsive. We would certainly consider renting again if we go back to the area.

Excellent cabin getaway

Perfect peaceful getaway for our family. Located in a perfect area of Monteagle. Easy access to trails and to Sewanee. Clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Great communication and all was very smooth and easy. Would highly recommend and would certainly rent again.
