Clifftops is a large, wooded, gated community with a private lake and swim club. Homes are on 5 acre lots. Wildlife abounds. Trails run throughout the development. The roads through Clifftops are newly paved and shady. There is very little traffic, making it a nice place to ride bicycles or scooters. The swim club, tennis courts and playground are about a half mile from our cabin. Beautiful Clifftops Lake with dock, sandy beach and clear, clean water is 4 miles from the cabin. Open water swimming is allowed. Gas powered boats are forbidden. The fishing is fantastic from the dock or canoe or kayak.
The area is famous for hiking with Sewanee's 21 mile perimeter trail just 4 miles from Clifftops. Fiery Gizzzard and Cumberland State Recreation Area are also close-by. We are near the front of the development, which makes for easy commute to campus.
All Saints Chapel (breath-taking Episcopal church) and the beautiful campus of Sewanee are close-by. There you will find a coffee shop and boutique restaurants.
About Gale Moore
We just bought this cabin after falling in love with Clifftops. We are swimmers, runners, cyclists, tennis players, paddlers, and fisherpeople. Clifftops had all our favorite activities in a beautiful community.
Gale Moore purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Gale Moore chose Clifftops
We like this property because it is near the front of the Clifftops development which gives easy access to trails, restaurants, and The University of the South. It is also at the end of a cul-de-sac which is an asset when little ones want to play.
What makes this Cabin unique
Running out the backdoor onto a trail is a thrill for me and my dogs. Being allowed to swim a mile in a clear, clean, lake knowing I won't get creamed by a motor boat is fantastic. Being able to pull our canoe or kayak off the rack and paddle a couple of miles and fish for bass makes for a perfect evening activity.
