Largs, on the North Ayrshire coast, is in a beautiful setting with the islands of Cumbrae and Arran facing the town and majestic hills behind. Largs caters for most peoples' holiday demands and has been attracting families and sporting groups for many years. It is one of Scotland's best loved holiday resorts. Has a vibrant town centre with many cafes, bars and restaurants In addition to its marina it has excellent sporting and leisure facilities, in particular two 18 hole golf courses, two fine 18 hole putting greens, 7 tennis courts, public bowling green, swimming pool, and Kelburn Country Centre. Largs is a walkers delight both at sea level and over the surrounding hills. The Waverley, the worlds's last sea going paddle steamer, calls in at Largs pier and plies amongst the islands during the summer months. A regular ferry service to the island of Cumbrae allows for a very pleasant day out - cycling around the fairly flat 10 mile perimeter of the island is very popular as is dawdling in its magic wee town of Millport. Cycling shops on the island provide a wide range of bicycles. Largs has a railway station which links with Glasgow Central Station, Paisley(for Glasgow Airport) and with one change Prestwick Airport and the county town of Ayr. Alternatively most places can be reached by bus - Largs has a very good bus service

About L Martin
My family have owned the house since it was built in the mid 1950's and it has been steadily modernised and altered internally during the ensuing decades to meet changing needs. However it retains its character, is a good family house and very suitable for holidaymakers.
L Martin purchased this Villa in 1955
Why L Martin chose Largs
The house is set apart from other properties and is also situate in a quiet part of the town. There is a good sized back garden which is safe for children and if the weather is good the barbecue is available for use .Table and chairs are set out. The promenade is about 200 yards away and if you have children there are 2 play parks , one located on the promenade being very good and the other about 100 yards from the house. Many craft sail on the Firth of Clyde and with yachts plying on the Firth in front of the islands it is a most pleasant sight. Sun sets over the river can be quite glorious.
