Enjoy the spaciousness of the house to relax or entertain your group. Delight with an easy 8-10 minute private walk to the beach through the woods and the dunes. Have summer cookouts on the deck or just relax and enjoy the views of the secluded backyard encased in bushes and trees for the ultimate in privacy.
The whole group will sleep well with a pillow top king size bed in the primary bedroom, a queen size bed in the second bedroom, and 2 twin beds in the third room, plus a bonus full size futon in the living room. You can have all your friends and family share its ample space with plenty of room for relaxing or entertaining. Use our large expandable dining room table to seat your entire party for a getaway dinner. Curl up with a book and relax on the couch on those cool winter nights.
Historically known as a fishing and clamming area, the Long Beach Peninsula now also boasts whale watching, fishing charters (inland and ocean), hiking, boating & kayaking. Environmentally sensitive design as home is setback from the ocean dunes buffered by a beautiful forest. The walk is quite serene via a meandering trail on relatively level ground. One needs to be able to walk about 1/4 mile to the beach.

Lovely beach house

Spacious home and well stocked kitchen, just as described in the listing. We enjoyed our stay - and the walk to the beach for razor clams. The deck was perfect for afternoon relaxation and reading. Quiet neighborhood. Looks like fun for summer, too. Would stay again!

The Lovely Swan

The Host was easy to communicate with. Finding the place was easy as the instructions were simple and easy to follow. Access was simple even in the dark. The house is clean and well appointed. We deck and yard are very welcoming. I would easily stay again.

This place is amazing. The house is so clean and comfortable. I appreciate that they love dogs as much as we do. Weather was perfect, grilled some oysters on the BBQ, and visited with friends. We will be back !!!

Dog heaven!

The four of us and our multiple dogs spent 4 wonderful nights at the end of January. This is a very special house, especially well suited for little kids or dogs! The open layout makes it especially good for a group- 3 couches, a long dinner table, and everything you’d need in a kitchen. The entryway has an additional door separating the mud/laundry from the kitchen, which was helpful with an escape minded dog, and the perfect place for coats and boots. The covered porch made it easy to clean the dogs before coming in the house when it was raining. The back porch has a built in gate at its stairs to make it enclosed for dogs or small kids. The upper floor has a gate at the top of the stairs as well. It’s a beautiful, light filled, welcoming home ❤️ I was grateful for the Wi-Fi since my phone (US Cellular) had no reception except next to the ocean. My sister’s phones worked (Verizon, Comcast). There’s an old school phone on the wall. The walk to the beach is like its own adventure through the woods and dunes! We brought one of the few lanterns from the kitchen to hang on the driftwood post marking the path entrance from the beach. This was very necessary in the dark, since from the beach it’s impossible to note where the path opening is. If you are not rushing, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach- we did it in rain, dark and sun! Our dogs were in heaven! Kristen was a fast and easy host to communicate with! We could not recommend this house highly enough!!!

The home was lovely, well decorated and the back yard was huge, wish I had family with me to enjoy the yard. I was alone so didn’t need all the bedrooms but the house would be very comfortable for a family, and a friend or two! The kitchen was the most completely stocked kitchen I have stayed in! Although a Keurig would have been nice, there was a nice coffee pot and an excellent tea kettle. The listing on the property states there is a private “path” to the beach. The path was actually 1/2 mile walk through woods and tall grass, great fun but it was a bit of a hike, and well worth it!A couple of negatives for me personally was the bed in the downstairs bedroom. The mattress was wretched. Thankfully I brought a temper-pedic mattress topper so I was able to sleep, but the bed was very lumpy. The other negative was traffic noise. The house was about 100 yards from a main road and I have sensitive hearing so the traffic noise bothered me and I had to close all the windows that faced east. The sliding glass door in the living room unfortunately did not have a screen door but it was the only ventilation I could get without opening windows and hearing traffic noise. Most people probably wouldn’t notice the noise.Lastly I could not figure out how to get the Dish network to work and there were no instructions. Also there were no instructions on the washing machine and I’ve never used a front loader so I was unable to start laundry as was requested.

A little further to the beach then we thought. Grill was charcoal with only enough charcoal for one use. Some dog poop around property and kitchen countertops could have been a little cleaner. Right next to the highway, so some traffic noise. A nice big space with lots of amenities. We really enjoyed the fire pit and privacy.

We had a wonderful time at this VRBO in Long Beach! The home was beautifully decorated with charming beachy accents and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend getaway. The hike to the beach offered stunning views of local wildlife, and once there, it almost felt like we had our own private stretch of sand. Spotting deer and pelicans made it even more special. We will definitely be returning to this home for future getaways!

Wonderful place! It had everything you could possibly need for a stay at the beach, including things for your dog(we did not bring a dog). The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. It was great to have such a nice washing machine and dryer to use, too. The beds were all comfortable, and had nice bedding. The area was very quiet at night. The upstairs bedrooms shared a pass-through bathroom. Overall, it was just a really nice place to stay, and we intend to stay there again. It’s outside of town but just a few minutes drive to get there, which was great. All the fun, with all the comforts of home. We can’t wait to go back.There was a really nice deck, and below that was a very large grassy area with a fire pit, which we enjoyed a lot. The path to the beach wound through the pines, and what a view once you arrive at the beach. My grandsons enjoyed combing the beach most of all. Although you can’t see the ocean from the house, you can hear it, which is always pleasant.

Awesome place

We had a wonderful time at this place with the family, slept 7 comfortably. The backyard is a plus plus, quite and surrounded by trees and can hear the surf crashing in the background! The house is beautiful inside and a marvelous kitchen to cook in!
