Thank you for the review, we hope to see y’all again.
We had a great experience. Quiet neighborhood, very relaxing. Enjoyed watching the stars from the porch swing at night. Very comfortable accommodations.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tarpley. The house was adorable and had everything we needed. The pool was amazing and we could have spent a whole day just floating in the pool. The property was 15 miles from any stores, but that just made us like it more! We would definitely recommend this property to others and would stay there again!!!!
It was exactly as described. Peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the calm and slow pace of Tarpley and the pool was perfect on the hot days. Charlotte was amazing and responsive.
This is great house for two. Host was available and accommodating. Loved the farm fresh eggs! This property is within a short drive of 4 Texas State Parks. We really enjoyed our stay.

The house was very clean and equipped with all that we needed for our stay. The pool was a nice addition. The cover above the pool provided shade and the pool was very clean. The area was quiet and peaceful. The house was decorated very nicely and very cozy.
Just as advertised. Perfect place, centrally located for hiking the three state parks. The deer in my back yard was an extra bonus. Would definitely rent here again.

Thank you for the review, so happy you enjoyed it.
We loved our stay at Tarpley Guest House! It was a getaway from our stressful life and it was a blast. Charlotte and her husband both were very nice and made us feel very welcomed. I loved the antique details in the cottage. It was extra nice to see the chickens and deers around the house.

Thank you for the review, I’m so happy you enjoyed your stay.
We can’t say enough about our experience at the Tarpley Guesthouse. It was super clean, comfortable and porches and pool were great for relaxing! Extra treat were farm eggs and vegetables from their garden. Charlotte is a super host! We plan to come back.
What an absolutely beautiful, charming, and peaceful place. Rustic charm but with all the modern amenities. The most peaceful place I could've imagined with deer and chickens freely roaming the property. Immaculately clean! This is one of my all-time favorite rentals!

Thank you for for the wonderful review, we hope to see y’all again.
We loved our stay here! The house is beautiful - pictures don’t do it justice. It was immaculately clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. The pool has a shade covering which kept it cool and at a perfect temperature for swimming even in the 100+ degree heat. We had a peaceful, relaxing visit, and would love to return. Thank you, Charlotte!

Pristine cleanliness. Beautiful new appliances. Custom resort like touches. Most comfortable bed & goose down pillows! Bath robes & luxury towels. Fresh ranch eggs & snacks!!!
Charlotte was great at communication, everything was exactly as pictured and described. For us it was close to the three state parks we wanted to visit so the location is great. Mac & Ernie's restaurant featured on Drive-ins, Diners and Dives had great food and was only a 2 minute walk away. Charlotte was a wonderful host and even gave us a dozen farm fresh eggs. Can't say enough about the TGH and we do plan on staying there again. Thank you Charlotte.
it was my birthday weekend and all I wanted was a nice road trip and a nice peaceful casa to relax in.. We found it in Tarpley tx!. The house was lovely, the location is great. The bed is super comfy and the pool was nice and refreshing. the deer feed in the evening is nice to watch. Charolette stop by and said hello and asked if we needed anything how nice is that? I would recommend this property.. my husband and I already want to come back next year.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, I’m so happy y’all had a good time. I hope to see y’all again. Happy Birthday!
After traveling from Amarillo to Dallas for a medical appt, we made arrangements for a couple of days in Hill Country just for some downtime. The home was beautiful and comfortable. Everything was inviting, quiet and relaxing. The only thing we were disappointed with was that we could not use the pool (as this was the number one reason for booking.) All in all, it was a trip well worth the time and will most likely book again (only next time make sure the pool is warm enough for use).
This was my favorite property ever! Every detail was perfect! I loved the chickens off the back porch. Could see all kinds of wildlife beyond fences. Was the perfect escape, comfy couch, top of the line kitchen, gorgeous wood throughout! Loved everything!
This beautiful house was perfect for the getaway we needed. The owners were friendly and made it so easy to check in and out. The food at the local diner hit the spot. We would definitely recommend this location!
Great place for rest, relaxation and a nice pool to cool off in. Will stay there again in the future!

Why they chose this property
Almost all the wood you see inside the house is reclaimed and restored wood from a 1870s house, that we took down board by board. It took us over a year to get the house finished, but it was a labor of love. We are very proud that we did this ourselves.
