With a private dock on Moosehead Lake, water adventures are just steps away. Spend your summer vacation fishing, swimming, and paddleboarding with unbeatable lake access. If you're vacationing during the winter months, you can make the 18-mile trek to Big Squaw Mountain Ski Area and tear up the powder all day long. THINGS TO KNOW
The Jetpack WiFi is not suitable for remote work or streaming.
The kitchen does not have a dishwasher.
A dirt road leads to the cabin, so a 4x4 that can handle wear and tear is best.
The lake is not accessible by snowmobile. Guests must trailer from the cabin to a public landing or parking area to access the lake or snowmobile trails.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Security camera details: Outside of home with view of driveway & area surrounding home

Dock details: The dock is available June through September, weather and lake conditions permitting. The dock is just for swimming or sitting, and not for mooring a boat.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Fisherman's Cabin on Moosehead Lake

This getaway trip was blissful. The cabin is pretty, well equipped, and very comfortable. We hiked at Gulf Hagas (fairly strenuous) and swam in the lake when we returned. Having the kayaks available made for a fun paddling adventure. And of course no camping trip is complete without a firepit! We loved our stay.

Quick getaway

Really cute and clean. Be prepared to drive down about 5 miles of bumpy dirt road. Cabin is right on the lake and offers kayaks and a little dock. Hot water wasn’t turned on when we got there but my husband figured out the issue and when we reached out to Vacasa they got right back to us and issue was resolved quickly. Would highly recommend this cute cabin for a couple. We’re talking about going back again next year.

Weekend Stay

Peace, quiet, serenity, beautiful scenery, beautiful cabin, gorgeous location and only a few feet from the water! We weren't sure what to expect on a holiday weekend (July 4th) but it was surprisingly quiet and the lake wasn't busy. Would definitely like to go again, it was a great getaway and the cabin was spotless, nicely decorated and cozy.

Relaxing weekend

This was a great place. Many little details make it special. Agree with others on possibly adding some more comfortable outside seating and a ladder in the dock or better area for kayak launch. Loved it! Will get back!

Awesome but... The cabin, location, hosts, booking etc., were all phenomenal, this was our second time staying at this location as we loved it so much the first time. Unfortunately an encounter with a resident at the very end of the road cast a shadow over our stay. My wife and I were out on the water, I was in a single person canoe fishing and she was in her kayak just enjoying the scenery when a male came from his home, got into his motor boat and approached her accosting/accusing her of going onto an island in our vicinity (she never left her canoe and certainly didn't go on any island). He was demeaning and lectured her about nesting loons on the island. He then approached me, I was a couple hundred yards from my wife fishing around the island. He then berated me and stated I had likely already scared the loons off their nest and they would never return. He then asked if I was a renter in the most demeaning tone possible. First, I love loons and had there been any indication of a nesting pair on the island I would have steered clear, second, and perhaps more ironically, I am a wildlife photographer and try to treat wildlife and wild places with the utmost respect. Luckily (for him) I didn't realize until after the fact how he had spoken to my wife. If not for this arrogant/pompous ass our stay would have been perfect but this did unfortunately cast a shadow over our time there. The following day we saw presumably his grand kids paddling around the same island...

Fisherman’s Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this log cabin, so much we didn’t want to leave. It’s right on Moosehead, with a dock and kayaks for use. Sitting on the porch in the comfy Adirondack chairs with coffee in the morning was just perfection. The bed was probably the most comfortable of any vrbo we have stayed at! We cooked over the fire pit and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We hope to come back soon😍
