Could be nice

Place was wiped down clean but needs a deep clean! Carpets are super gross. Kitchen has lots of things but very random. (Think old time swap meet). Lots of space but the cleanliness and mod podge made it feel very lived in and not quite prepared for guests.

Terrible communication!!!!!!!!!!

My party of 5 family members arrived on time to San diego all the way from the L.A. area without any communication of instructions on how to access the building, parking and apartment. U called the hist several times only to be sent to voicemail and no call back. I also called Vrbo several times and opened up a case because we were stuck in the area for almost 5 hours in the rain with no place to stay and even missed reservations we had at a restaurant due to calling and figuring out what to do. After finally reaching the host we felt there was no sympathy or apologies and they pretty much blamed Vrbo for not giving me instructions on how to reach the apartment. Finally 5 hours later out of the blue the host said he might have an apartment available. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 unacceptable!!! We were already heading back home disappointed and angry. The only compensation we were offered was an extra nite for free. Ummm hello we cant stay an extra nite because we have to go to work on Monday 2 hours away. I refused that offer. Im still waiting here for a response on how to make this better. Sincerely, Very disappointed!!!

Safe and comfortable

There was plenty of room for our family and close to the MCRD and airport. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

The review from July is a good recap. Location is central. However AC does not work properly. The bedrooms are flipped so master has 2 twins beds. BOTH Shower faucets were broken and from previous review this was already an issue but they still let this rental occur. The carpets are dirty, blinds missing and even broken artwork. So then we had to deal with maintenance appts to come fix our showers. The last thing you want to deal with on vacation. It was an awful experience. Also the fact that there are only 3 reviews for this property is a RED FLAG. And once I express my concern and dissatisfaction, no reply from owner. Additionally, VRBO kept on me on the phone for 1 hour to say there is nothing they can do, The next day I tried to chat to be abruptly disconnected. Save yourself the headache and do not book this property.

Excellent location with good amenities. Lots of street noise (late at night and early).

The property is very centrally located with lots of surrounding options for shopping and eating. It is very spacious and generally very clean. Lots of amenities provided by owner which allow you to “live” comfortably during your stay. It is strange the master has the twins instead of the queen bed. However, during our stay the smoke detector went off for no reason twice at night. The handle in the master bath came completely off and it was difficult to use (too hot or too cold). Some of the blinds were missing sections or they were broken. The door to the master patio did not work and you couldn’t open the door to access the patio. The Amazon fire stick would stop working suddenly and reset itself over and over again. The air conditioning didn’t work evenly in the bedrooms. The master was too cold while the other bedrooms were hot. Couldn’t find a temperature that worked. It was also very loud at night with traffic and very early in the morning with traffic, gardening and trash pickup. Difficult to sleep through the night. Lastly, didn’t see how to access the gym or pool area. No instructions on how to access in the room or in the building. Overall, it is a nice place with its central location and covered parking. I just would expect the items I listed to be functional. It seems like the unit isn’t maintained regularly to address issues as they happen.

Perfect stay to explore San Diego and beaches

Apartment was very clean and tidy. The host left all the essentials, even laundry detergent. Also the location is very good if you'd like to explore downtown (10 mins away) and Pacific beach (20 mins away)
