Beautiful House with Panoramic View of Loch Melfort

Bridge Deck Balcony Suite, is an upper house with a stair lift for the less able. It does has incredible views of the Highlands coming down to the ocean, sit on the balcony or on the sofa and totally unwind.
The ever changing panorama makes this a magical place .
See the otters, seals, herons and oyster catchers playing on the shores.
The is a wood burner, we can supply Wood at £10 per basket and there is underfloor heating .
Two TV's , and Two full Bath rooms !! Private parking right by your door .
There is free fishing from the ancient pier bring your fishing rod.
Two pets are very welcome, £12.00 per pet per night.
Large living room, kitchen, with everything you need, large fridge freezer, washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven & hob, dining area, Wood, burner 2 TV's, King size bed, his & hers bathrooms, one en suite Free 24 hour WiFi. Parking right outside.

When you arrive, your bed is made and the towels are ready to use, there is even toilet paper and a bin bag, hair dryer and cleaning materials in the kitchen .
You can start any day of the week, stay a day or a week, we can do it all.
We hope to welcome you to Melfort Pier & Harbour, so you can relax and unwind in the privacy of your own home.

These is so much to do in our area, castles, islands to visit, Oban distillery, old slate mines, Highland days, the famous Crinan canal, the standing stones of Kilmartin.
History is all around. We are an ideal touring base and then come home and relax.

Was even better than I anticipated. Beautiful view, lovely, large accommodations. Far enough out of Oban to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to drive in for a bite or shopping. Grat “home base” for driving to sightsee during the days.

Great views and wildlife!

Views of the loch are gorgeous, and great wildlife you can watch from your place. Saw deer, otter, and various other critters! Place was fully equipped and spacious!

Great remote location

Fantastic property, great facilities and a very well equiped kitchen, a walk upto the local Interpretation Hub is a great place to spend an afternoon and a couple of sightings of the Seal in the loch and a few sightings of a Buzzard was great as well.

Amazing view from the balcony of loch melfort with the kids fishing off the pier. kayaking, paddleboats and swimmers alike all enjoying the water. Perfect for a getaway and hazel our host couldn't have been nicer! Would definitely stay again.

Amazing Weekend / Experience

The most amazing place to escape to, in Scotland. My wife and I were celebrating her 23rd birthday here, and Hazel was so kind and generous to us. She offered advice and tourist attractions to visit during our stay. We even met the dog, and he was just as special. Quiet and peaceful from start to finish.

Although the drive down the track with passing places to the flat was a little causious in places the flat was comfortable.I feel it needs a little modernisation.The spa bath needs a really good clean with a descaler as the jets kicked out alot of scale and random hair.The second bathroom is much better as a shower, very powerful, water is hot and plentiful.There is a stair lift and steam room.We visited oban, mull and Iona and also the village shop and lucys (excellant cakes.) Inverary and loch fyne oystersYou do need to take all supplys as the nearest shop is 1/2 an hour away.Tea, coffee and sugar sachets are supplied with some oat milk.More cutlery is definatley needed.We have done argylle and bute enough now, so we would not return.Enjoy the Duck convoy of an evening it was very entertaining.

Lovely place with an amazing view

We loved staying here, its quite a sizeable space and was spotlessly clean. You've everything you need for a stay self catering and the couch in living area and bed were so comfy. The view though! Wow, stunning. It just makes it and it's so quiet, particularly at night. Perfect for relaxation. Sauna also a wee treat.Hazel is a star and very helpful with suggestions about the local area. A few reviews we read mentioned that the place was dated but it really is fine and is due to be refurbished soon. The whole place has such a lovely vibe that that didnt bother us. There's heron's, otters and red squirrels to see. Its quite magical.

Very rural

Very spacious beautiful views. The main thing to be aware of is, it does not state that there is no shop nearby, you need to stock up on everything before as very rural, you wouldn't want to be driving at night later on looking for somewhere on those roads. Luckily we found a place 5 mins by car the gunpowder café were they do lovely food so we ate there on our 2day stay. I would highly recommend it, quirky place with excellent food and drink choice. It would be helpful to offer a welcome pack ie.. milk as there was a couple of teabags and coffee sachets in the property but no milk. Lovely for a couple of nights stay but the bed is very small for such a large bedroom that was our only moan as it very uncomfortable .

Not what was advertised

We booked a house and got a flat, we had an old dog who could not climb stairs. In our first full day we had to call a vet as he had taken a turn with climbing stairs. We then had to leave on the second day. When we handed our key back and explained and asked if we could get a refund the site manager said speak to VRBO as it’s not her problem, we have had the run around with VRBO

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

We had the best time here at Melfort, we were greeted by Hazel who was lovely friendly and nothing was to much trouble..The apartment over looking the loch was quiet with beautiful views each day was different, the weather was wet but we spent most of the time in the water so it didn't really matter. With us we had a kayak paddleboard, wet suits, so each day was a new adventure. wild swimming with the seals was the biggest treat. They were so inquisitive they cant help but come with in a few feet of you and some swam around my legs.. Amongst water activity, there is mountain walking, eating out in lovely cafes & restaurants, beautiful scenery, and if your stuck with anything Hazel is always around to help. Personally if you are outdoor people or just want a quiet relaxing retreat, I would highly recommend Melfort and all it has to offer. Thank you for having us we will definitely be back.

Great Views - Loved the Sauna

Great views from our second story deck. We were blessed with beautiful weather and enjoyed sipping our morning coffee looking out over the water.The property was very quiet. There was a couple staying in the apartment below us, but we never heard them. It felt like we had the place entirely to ourselves.The property was well equipped and the Sauna was the best part. Very much enjoyed sitting and relaxing after a long day in Oban.There is a nice restaurant called the gunpowder cafe that just a 20 minute walk away thru very quiet roads.Communication with Hazel our host was excellent.This was the perfect home base for exploring Oban and the surrounding area.

Great location and views

Property advert didn’t make it clear that the property had was setup for less abled people so was a bit of a surprise on arrival. Found used bottle of deodorant and a teeth retainer and lots of floor tiles are cracked which also didn’t help the first impression. Property needs a make over as a bit tired. Highlight was the fabulous view from the patio terrace, but again this needs some tlc as paintwork all flaky.
