Wonderful house to spend a few days in. I stayed with my dog, the trails were beautiful. It was so nice to have all the breakfast food available in the kitchen to make my own food.
A very unique and beautiful place to stay. Like staying in a museum where you can touch everything. Hosted a family dinner here. We were 12 people in the historic dining room. Grateful to have been able to stay at this property. Would recomend.
We loved staying here. It was clean and had everything we needed. Our kids loved the alpacas and llama and walking along the river. We enjoyed the history of the place.

We had a great time at the Bunn House B&B.
Great location, what a historic home.
We enjoyed the peace and hands off approach.
Beds were comfortable and breakfast fixings were delicious!
Easy and quick access to selkirk and shopping.
Wonderful location and amazing hosts. Really cool house with tons to do. Close to the river with great fishing, lots of Manitoba master anglers. Beds were extremely comfortable and a very quiet location for a good night sleep
Wonderful place to gather in relaxing atmosphere. Bev and Fraser are gracious hosts, helpful and attentive. We enjoyed exploring rural areas as well as easy drives into Winnipeg. Highly recommend a stay here.
Wonderful historic home filled with antiques and books. Loved reading, and looking at the pictures of the history of the house.
Bev has thought of everything! Comfortable beds, quiet and serene. Will be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Bunn house. Wandering through the historical artifacts and books was a pure delight! As well, we were lucky to watch the alpacas being shaved. Such a delightful mix of fun activities and interesting history! Hope to return soon!
A fabulous staycation! It was so peaceful, comfortable and quiet. The House is a treasure trove of history, yet it has all the modern conveniences and comforts possible. Bev and Fraser are outstanding hosts. We will definitely be back!
Very interesting place with tons of history. Grandkids came for an afternoon and they loved the fishing and playing football in the huge yard. Lovely people that hosted us. Thank you
We had a wonderful experience staying at Beverley and Fraser’s beautiful cottage. It was like stepping into the past in the most serene setting. Bev made sure we had lots of delicious breakfast food for our mornings. They went the extra mile to make sure our stay was comfortable and easy. They were excellent with communication and also gave us some wonderful history about the cottage. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
If you want an experience that includes history immersion, this is the place to stay! Fraser was a delight to learn from about the region’s and his own family’s historical plethora of information. Bev was so nice and welcoming. The Bunn house offers plenty of room and comfort. Was an excellent experience for first time VRBO. Will definitely return! Thank-you for everything!
The Thomas Bunn cottage is a special place, rich with local history and lush, green surroundings. Bev provides a very warm welcome, and the house is stocked with anything you may need. The house is updated with modern conveniences, so you can stay nice and cool after exploring the grounds on a hot day. I especially enjoyed the upstairs bathtub for a long soak and the detachable showerhead to wash your hair without needing to duck under the water. If you are looking for a unique experience and enjoy history, this is the place for you!
Bev and Frasier were lovely hosts. The house itself was brimming with culture and history... Like staying in an authentic period home with tons of incredible artifacts.
It may even be the quintessential Manitoba historic accommodation experience, as I can't imagine anything else coming close.
The house was bigger than we were expecting and had more modern amenities than I would have imagined.
Very generous and thoughtful hosts... And we explored the sprawling extensive grounds... So much to see. What more could you really ask for!?
We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at the Bunn House. Anyone who appreciates history will be in heaven. There’s so much to do from snowshoeing to playing pool to exploring all the books and treasures. The hosts were so kind. Bev provided gluten free options for my husband and even had a piece of cake ready for his birthday! The kitchen was well stocked with all the breakfast things, even bacon. It was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights but next time we’d like to stay longer to have time to take it all in. Will recommend to family and friends. Thank you Bev and Fraser.
My husband and I chose this beautiful Heritage Cottage for our Wedding and it did not disappoint. We were able to bring our puppy (a definite bonus) and found the relaxed atmosphere to be a pleasant change from other places we have rented in the past. The place is full of antiques including many books which we wish we’d had time to mull over but they will be waiting for us on our next trip. The original wood floors, phonographs (yes, we played some of the old thick records!), front porch with wood stove,(made taking pictures on a cold wedding day possible), and huge claw foot tub added to the ambiance and experience during our stay. Thank you Fraser for sharing some of your amazing property history with us. Beverley, we really appreciated the extra wedding breakfast treats you provided. It was a memorable long weekend/wedding day and we look forward to our next stay.
Very clean and well kept property. Enjoyed staying there very much. The food provided was great. The antiques and artifacts around the house were fascinating! And we loved that it was dog friendly.
Thanks for the stay!
I cannot rave about this property and the hosts enough. They went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. The property is amazing, the house is a historical gem, and the hosts spoiled us with unexpected comforts. My only complaint is that we didn’t get to spend more time!
House was really cool there is so much historical stuff to look at. Felt like I was at a museum. Owners were very friendly. I will be coming back to stay.
