A Peaceful Place Like Home Away from Home. Private casita and patio.

Casa Azul is a quiet, peaceful vacation escape casita/guest house located adjacent to a private residence in Palm Desert, CA, just 1/2 mile north of Highway 111. This brand new casita was designed and built with the guest experience in mind. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath furnished in modern design and includes use of the new pool and spa. Spa is included in the booking. Pool-heating is upon request.

Heating the pool for and additional $80.00 daily fee.
The process of heating the pool takes about a day, which will be included in the cost. For example, if guests want the pool heated for 2 days, they will be charged for 3 days

Great Place!

Our stay was fabulous! The place was just like it appeared in the pictures. Ally and Brendon were perfect hosts. They gave us so much privacy and left the entire backyard to ourselves. Would certainly recommend this place. Also, so close to everything. We did a lot of walking which was great.

Exactly how I want a vacation rental to be

This place was exactly what we wanted/needed for our weekend stay. Check in/out was easy. Place was well stocked and decorated. We would stay here again if we’re ever back in town. We never heard or saw anyone else on the property and it felt very quiet and secluded. Location was amazing as well.

We loved our week, the property was clean and very tastefully decorated. Any imaginable amenity was available to us. The hosts were kind and attentive. The personal backyard oasis was stunning. We would definitely return and highly recommend anybody else to stay here.

La Casa Azul is a Hidden Gem!

My family and I booked La Casa Azul for a lacrosse tournament in Indio, CA (Sandstorm) and it worked out perfectly as it’s only a 15 minute drive to the fields and only a few minutes from restaurants and grocery shops. The 2 bedroom property is beautifully finished and the hosts are absolutely amazing! Highly recommended!

My new husband and I stayed at the Casa Azul for a get-away after our wedding. So happens, Hurricane Hillary also arrived. We were well taken care of by our host and enjoyed the amenities while we hunkered down. Loss of power for a few hours did not wreck our time and our host made sure we were safe. Beautiful place! We plan to visit again!

Very good overall. Lots of privacy. Cost to heat the pool is quite high at 60 per day. The heating of the spa is included though. Clean and equiped with everything you could need.

Very nice place to stay in Palm Spring

The place is very clean and nice with all facility almost new. We relax there after Joshua tree hike/rock climbing. It felt like home. The communication with Ally was easy who lives closely. The only thing that troubled us is the entrance code, which was not the one on my check-in instruction and was changed again on the second day.

A perfect location for a quiet stay!

The lovely Casa Azul is exactly as described, and worked perfectly for our small group of two couples. The kitchen is stocked with all dishes and utensils you might need for at-home dining, whether indoors or outside. We did not use the pool (we had a full schedule), but the patio is lovely, and while the home is in a residential neighborhood, it still feels private (and so very quiet, which was wonderful). The unit has been very thoughtfully decorated, and we would be happy to stay there again the next time we're in town!

Ally is a wonderful host. She is right next door so responds quickly. Everything is provided - toiletries, laundry soap, Keurig, kitchen well equipped, regular size washer/dryer, stove, frig, large TV - she provides tennis channel. All rooms with overhead fans, bedrooms with individual A/C. Access to hot tub with no charge. Private off street parking. What's not to like!

Best possible set up.

The place was so modern and clean. Every single need is considered. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was a blessing! Pool are was lovely! I would recommend paying to heat it if in October and you want to be in it early am or at night, as it can get a bit chilly. Owner was sweet! Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Good home base

We stayed here for 5 nights in January 2025. The property is fine but note the absence of a stove/range. We ended up doing all meals out or over at a friend’s house so it was ok. The only real negative was the lack of communication. We never got instructions on how to open the gate. It seems like they forgot to email me with the directions because there is no way you would know to use a fob inside the house that was not labeled. The owner was on site and came out to open it for us and we apologized for disturbing him but didn’t get any apology back for not letting us know what to do. I even messaged them through the VRBO app 3 days before our trip and asked if there were any special checkin instructions or procedures. They replied they would send it a couple of days before our arrival. Nothing in the app, my email, or text so I guess they forgot. Anyway, aside from the communication issue, the place was pretty clean and a good place to sleep if you like firm beds.

Best host ever - clean modern relaxing

This small home is gorgeous. It has a kitchen I can only dream about.. Everything is new and modern. Ally also supplied everything in a very thoughtful way beyond what would be expected. Ally responded so quickly when contacted. The pool area was amazing at night. We loved this experience. There are a few things I think worth knowing before you go. Be aware this is a small house that is attached to a larger home. When we first walked up we were confused because we thought we were going to this front house but we really were going to the side house. That being said it felt very private; we were never interrupted. Also to turn on the hot tub you use a phone app which she provides in the kitchen. We looked around at the pool area for the turn on but be aware it’s remote from inside the kitchen and she left instructions there. Also there was a $40 a day charge for the pool if we wanted it heated. I appreciate so much that Ally did not charge monstrous fees as I have seen in other listings. And this was why i chose this house. I will go back into this home in a heartbeat. Not for parties. 10 pm curfew.
