Welcome to Dixie Bear Cabin! Just minutes from the Village, ski slopes and lake all the while tucked away in a quiet part of Big Bear Lake.
We love the rustic industrial touches with a splash of country chic. All the flooring throughout the home is waterproof. 650 sq foot home.
Bedroom- Has a king sized bed, large closet, dresser, and one nightstand.
Loft- Queen sized bed, sitting chair, and dresser. note-photos show an additional twin. This has been removed.
Living room- Has a 50 inch smart TV with Roku, basic cable, wifi. Leather power reclining couch with USB ports.
Kitchen- Gas stove, apartment sized fridge, microwave, toaster, blender, farm sink, all dishes, bakeware, utensils, and drip coffee maker.
Dining- Table seats 3. And is large enough to play games.
Parking- We have 2 level parking spaces. The home is located on a hill, you may need 4x4 or AWD during winter months. Lowered vehicles not recommended.
Pets- We allow 2 behaved dogs only. No other animals are permitted. There is a $50 non refundable pet fee per reservation. Additional fees may apply for extra cleaning or damage.
Yard- Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the back deck and enjoy the beautiful Big Bear sunrise and sunsets.
Grill- The grill and firepit are propane only. The tanks are swapped once a week. Please check the tanks before use. Propane tank swaps will be reimbursed with picture of receipt.
Hot tub- Large hot tub, for your use. Use available 7a-10p per city regulation.
Fireplace- we do not supply wood; however all the fire tools are available. Wood can be pre-purchased from our office for delivery or at many local stores.
Heating-The home has central heating.
Cooling-Like most homes in Big Bear there is no central AC. Ceiling fans are in bedroom, living room, and loft.
Bring yourselves, and food! You’ll enjoy all Big Bear has to offer.
We supply- All linens and cookware are provided. A starter pack of supplies are also provided (ground coffee, sugar, paper towels, trash bag, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton balls, q-tips, and treats for good pups!)
If traveling in winter, we highly suggest purchasing trip insurance! We have a strict cancellation policy and will stand by it. Winter months can be challenging with snow, ice, road closures, and other things. Cover yourself by purchasing the trip insurance.

House is located on a hill, on a quiet dead end street. We know and love all of our neighbors, don't hesitate to say hi! A couple of them are full time residents.

Keypad code-City of Big Bear Lake requires their Good Neighbor Policy to be signed prior to gaining access to the home. The person booking the home MUST sign, no exceptions. Declining to sign will result in no access to the home, & cancellation of reservation with no refund. GNP can be found in our listing along with the break down of our agreement. Agreement is sent in a link for virtual signature in welcome message.
Code will be sent day of check in. Once the home is ready or at 4pm, whichever is first.
Please note in winter months: The roads are plowed regularly, but you may need 4x4 vehicle and chains. We are not responsible for any weather related travel issues. This home is located on a hill. When snow is present you will most likely need chains or AWD/4x4.
Reminder- This is the mountains. We do our best to control what we can. We spray and leave bait for pests, do our best to prevent rodents, and remove weeds throughout the year. Most of our homes do have sap producing trees. This property is serviced by Terminix.
There is one camera on property, it views the front door and parking.
City of Big Bear Lake Good Neighbor Policy must be respected at all times. Please review the city rules.
Do not exceed the occupancy limit (3 this includes children and infants)
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may
be less than the total maximum occupancy.
NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
No parking in street or yard (2 vehicles)
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated
parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The
maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior
sign.
No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the
property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music
carrying beyond the property line.
Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from
10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Take your furry friend with you.
Take your dog with you so they do not disturb
surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake
is very dog-friendly!
Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear
locations:
4190 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd.
Consequences
Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to
extend common courtesy and neighborly
behavior toward the guests and residents
around them. For those guests who have come
to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility
of the neighborhoods, there are costly and
severe consequences.
Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated
previously is $500 per violation. A second
offense is $1000 per violation.
Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules
and expectations will be evicted without a
refund. In addition, costly citations may be
issued to the reservation holder.
