Peaceful manoir for 2 people between St lo and bayeux

Our property is about 500 years old ,located near an old park with tall trees. It is 5000 sq meters situated at the limit of the village of 950 habitants.
We propose you a gîte for 2 in a very quiet and cosy place. At present, the access is with a stair,but also you can access via the garden. Possibility of place in a garage for a motorbike. You will have all trades at proximity. Many activities are possible: Horse riding, walking. different visits to: The abbey of the 11th century and a sculpture park., The Caen Memorial at 1 H.The Mont St Michel is at 1h30 by car. The ferries for the channel are at 1H00 of driving.The landing beaches are at 45'.
You have a green space with a bbq at disposition.
We can speak english but the understanding is not perfect...That is for you the opportunity to practice your french! The gîte is closed from December to the end of February.

Easter in Normandy

We spent a wet weather Easter Holiday in this very comfortable and comprehensively equipped gite and were charmed as much by its ambiance as by the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings and its hosts. Altough close to the centre of a classic Normandy village it is a quiet haven and a perfect retreat.

A Great Little Break.

The property although compact, is very comfortable and characterful set in a lovely large semi natural garden. The hosts Guy and Jocelyne are extremely helpful, engaging and friendly. However a slight word of warning if you are considering booking. There are steep steps up to the property and steep stairs within the the property. Location is great for exploring the beaches or the tranquility ofNormandy Normandy.

Great well situated house

We stayed here three nights for visiting a part of the D-day beaches. The house is well located for visiting pointe d’hoc, Utah beach and the airborne museum. The owners had a lot of tips for visiting historic places. Great hospatility, Very nice owners and a great house, it had everything you need. The village is beautiful. A place to return to.

Beautiful apartment renovated to a high standard

The hosts Jocelyne and Guy were very accommodating on arrival making sure i settled in to my stay at their Gite - very peaceful and tranquil location with access to their large gardens - set in a quiet but friendly village ideal for cycling as its part of the french cycle network - access to anywhere in Normandy is very quick and easy due to the roads being so quiet and the main N13 is close by - all the fixtures and fittings are very good quality and the bed allows you a good nights sleep - separate bathroom and toilet are very good quality and very clean - when it came to my day to leave i didnt want to leave which is the biggest endorsement that i can give - thank you Jocelyne and Guy for helping me enjoy one of my best vacations ever

Mooie gite van 500 jaar oud

Geweldige gite, knus en van alles gemakken voorzien. Eigen ruime privetuin. Heel aardige gastheer en -vrouw. Zou hier zeker terugkomen. Prima locatie om van hieruit de invasiestranden te bezoeken. Aanrader!

Lovely gite, great location

Guy and Jocelyne made us feel really welcome and the gite was lovely. It had everything we needed for the week and the location was perfect for exploring the WWII sites. The cider was delicious, too!

Immaculate, tranquil haven

We were welcomed by the delightful French owners and felt at home immediately in this freshly restored and well equipped part of the beautiful manor house. The extensive gardens were a relaxing place to wander and enjoy all the diverse bird song. Our hosts were most helpful, even making us walking maps to aid our enjoyment of the forest which is within walking distance, accessed by an amazing system of shady tracks and where we even saw a pine marten mother with two babies. Guy, who speaks excellent English, made space in his garage for our motorcycle and Jocelyne was kind enough to help me improve my French. I would be delighted to return to this beautiful gite some time in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a peaceful and tranquil setting.

Un séjour idyllique

Le gîte proposé sur Abritel*Home Away par Jocelyne et Guy Le Trouit à Cerisy la Forêt dans un Manoir paisible est un vrai bonheur. L'accueil des hôtes, leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité sont des atoûts précieux. Leurs conseils pour mieux connaître cette très belle région sont des éléments importants pour tout touriste de passage . Les visites des plages du débarquement, du Mont Saint Michel, du Mémorial de Caen, des Tapisseries de Bayeux, de la Cité de la Mer à Cherbourg et des multiples vestiges Romans (abbaye de Cerisy entre autre....)occupent votre semaine. Le gîte est confortable, élégant, spacieux,calme et reposant. Tous les éléments proposés correspondent à la réalité La propreté sans faille. Ce manoir si agréable est à recommander à tout visiteur désireux de passer des congés inoubliables. La tour comme vous l'appelez, est un endroit paisible et agréable au milieu d'un jardin verdoyant. Remise à neuf, elle est idéale pour un couple. La situation géographique de ce manoir est parfaitement bien située pour desservir les deux départements de Normandie, Manche et Calvados. Nous tenons aussi à remercier nos hôtes pour l'accueil discret mais néanmoins bienveillant et chaleureux qu'ils nous ont réservé pendant une semaine. A consommer sans modération, car un bon hébergement contribue en grande partie à la réussite des vacances. Merci à Guy et Jocelyne.
