This rental is run down and in a bad area. There is no hot water and wifi crashed shortly after we got there. There is an air conditioner for the upstairs bedroom but none for the downstairs, which gets hot. The surrounding are not enjoyable.

Okay if you don't want to keep any food, or cook or use the main floor

When we booked back in October the listing showed air conditioning units on the walls and said there was air conditioning in the house. Then, 4 days prior to our arrival in January we saw a review that said there was no air conditioning. We contacted the owner and he backtracked and said that we booked it without air conditioning which was not true. Because we had proof of the old photos he promptly put in a unit in the upstairs bedroom which was divine! He then took down the photos from the listing. Unfortunately the downstairs main living area where the kitchen is was so hot, at least 45 degrees, the fridge could not keep up as it is an older model. Most of our food went bad. Then the ants were swarming within a few minutes every time we cut into a fruit or tried to cook anything. We could not leave any food out even boxes of cereal they were swarming all over and stinging us. As a result we ate out 90% of the time which got to be very expensive. Also you should know that you are right next to the small airport and there are numerous little planes that come and go starting after 5 am. There is also a church a couple of houses down that has live bands. Very beautiful deck area off the upstairs bedroom. And we enjoyed watching the birds come and go and the planes haha. The backyard is very cute and there is a hose and an outdoor shower which we preferred to use because the one upstairs did not have Lighting in the shower part. Also also know that there is no hot water available in the home. It was fine for showering outside but when we did wash any dishes we had to boil water on the stove in order to wash the dishes and we could not leave anything out for even a few minutes because the ants would come! Overall I found the owner did not understand the needs of a rental house for tourists. And we felt belittled because of our questions. We left early and found a different rental.

Nice, but...

Very nice and clean with exception of upstairs patio where there is an ant problem and the chair is broken. Also, needs more air circulation during the hot day. It was hotter inside than out.
