Conveniently located close enough to town and ferry and is a pleasant bike ride away from shops& restaurants. Wake up in this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home to stunning views of Puget Sound & Mount Rainier from a king Bed upstairs in Master Suite (with soaking tub and walk in shower) . Second bedroom upstairs, has a queen bed in the private room, with a shared walk-in shower bathroom to the fourth sleeping area, a day bed with 2 twins able to convert to another double bed in the upstairs loft. Private downstairs bedroom with Queen Bed, with shared downstairs bathroom with walk in shower. Downstairs laundry room with washer & dryer for guest access. The house is very spacious, great floor plan and the wrap around picture windows made the view of the Seattle city lights so spectacular, any time of the day. This gourmet kitchen with its bar seating provided more room for eating, and also the table and chairs on the deck. Kitchen is well stocked with eating & cooking utensils, updated appliances, double oven and lots of cooking condiments. While cooking enjoy breathtaking views of Puget Sound & Mt. Rainer, open to the den and dining area, perfect for entertaining or intimate dining setting.
This home features private beach, with direct access from the backyard, great for bonfires, grilling, fireworks and more! Launch kayak, canoe, paddle boards and other fun water sports direct from private beach!

Amazing view and beach

The view from the house and beach are amazing, great place to watch sunrise, sunset and have a fire. The house itself is very comfortable, clean and well equipped.

Amazing views in a lovely home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing home in Bainbridge. It was extremely comfortable, well furnished and equipped with all the necessities you would need, just like home. Easy access to the private beach and a brand new deck where we just sat and looked over the water. We will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Lovely

We stayed at Barbara's property for 10 days and loved it. So peaceful with a stunning view. Everything there in the home that we could have wanted or needed. And great location on the island. We would love to come back and stay again!

Pre-Thanksgiving Stay

Some friends and I along with my son who lives in Seattle stayed in this lovely home the week before Thanksgiving. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing and serving our pre- Thanksgiving feast. The views of Puget Sound and of Seattle were fantastic. It is close to town and was a memorable place to stay.

Weekend stay for family wedding on the island

My husband and I visited the island with our 95 year old father, and our two sons (early 20's) for a family wedding. The house was perfect - great location, beautiful and well equipped. Barbara (owner/host) was very responsive and helpful. I hope to return to the island soon and would recommend this home in a heart beat.

It was a very nice place

A wonderful house, with a great deck, great views, wonderful plants and trees, a stairway down to your own beach. Very nice! The house is larger than it appears in the photos. Many thoughtful amenities. Close to town but also quiet.

Fabulous house, location, and views!

We stayed 3 nights for a special birthday celebration, and had the most wonderful experience. The house is thoughtfully laid out as well as being beautiful. Good privacy from neighbors. We did not cook but the kitchen especially stood out for all its amenities and supplies! We might have to come back just for the experience of home-cooked meals with THAT VIEW. I live on Bainbridge Island and have never seen a better view of the city.

Bainbridge Perfection !

We have stayed at many properties through VRBO.-This house was outstanding. We spent 28 days on Bainbridge to help our daughter and her family (they live on the island). We assisted with virtual learning and helped with a cute toddler . The views were amazing! The house was full of light and the pictures on the website are very accurate. The kitchen was very well -equipped as well as the rest of the house (towels etc.). The owner is very responsive . Access to the beach is quite easy. We loved looking at the Seattle skyline and Mount Rainier. We hope to be able to stay again.

Bainbridge bliss

Had a lovely stay over Easter 2023. It rained almost the full 4 days we were there. Like a lot. Property was beautiful nonetheless. We got one morning of gorgeous views across the water. Loved cozying up by the fireplace. Furniture and kitchen are all fantastic. The ferry to Seattle was somewhat unpredictable, lots of delays most times that we took it (sometimes multiple times a day). But Bainbridge is so quaint. House is comfy and has every supply you could need or want. Ferry is so close. Wish we were able to spend more time down by the water or outside because the property is gorgeous. Our son even did a plunge in the cold water our last day. Barbara was so easy to get in touch with and chit chat with. Thanks again! Would absolutely stay again (maybe in summer next time).

Spectacular property

I cannot recommend this property more highly. It has truly one of the more spectacular views I have ever seen, and it is beautifully located on the island.The check-in process was smooth, the communication with the owner was exceptional, and I would stay here again!The kitchen is well stocked, including necessary, spices.

Family visit at Christmas

We spent a week on Bainbridge Island to visit family in the area. Tanglewood, which is what this property is known, is a family-owned property with a rich history dating back to the 1930s. It’s on a quiet location in Wing Point with a beautiful view of Seattle’s skyline and Mr. Rainier - when it chooses to reveal itself. The time we were there, we spotted a pod of orcas swimming across the Sound, and a bald eagle fly across twice outside our living room window.The owner, Barbara, is responsive, pleasant to work with and clear in her instructions for checking in/out. The place is beautiful, well-kept, clean, organized, comfortable and had every amenity. If you have a chance to stay here, check out their guest book.

Gorgeous View and Location is Great

We love the area, it’s just a few doors up from where we had a house so it was like going back home with the same incredible view. Location is great. If you have all tall people, the sloped ceilings could be problematic.

Nothing short of spectacular

We have stayed at various rentals on BI since 2015. This home is by far and away the best. The furnishings, the layout of the home, the deck and the view are all first rate. The proximity to Winslow and the ferry are both pluses as well. We can’t wait to return.

Fabulous house for our vacation

The house and property were exactly as shown in the description but the views are even better in person! It was a great space to enjoy with our friends and family. Seattle was a ferry ride away but we also enjoyed the local shops and parks.

Wonderful Hideaway On Bainbridge

Property was one of the top properties we have stayed in. Chefs kitchen, large living area, entire interior of home is modern. The view of downtown is spectacular from the porch and kitchen and if clear enough, spectacular view of Mt Rainer completes the sweeping views. Grounds are extremely well manicured. Nice neighborhood to walk with a city park just up and around the corner. Steps down to a private beach for those seeking a little adventure (could be challenging for older adults). 5-7min car ride to downtown and ferry landing (should get in the ferry line about 20min before scheduled departure). Jet tub in the upstairs master (with supplied bubble soap) that has views of the sound when laying back sipping champagne. Ceiling space is a bit tight in the upstairs bedrooms but that adds to the charm of the place (can hit your head easily if heading to the bathroom at night so just be cautious). Easy check in. A definite winner for an upscale stay.

Peaceful family downtime

My wife and teenage daughter absolutely loved staying here. The home had everything we could ever want and more. Views of downtown Seattle at night and Mt Rainier during the day kept us close to the amazing kitchen and family room during our stay. Picking up sea glass along the private beach was one of our highlights. Easy jaunt to downtown Winslow or to the ferry terminal if we wanted the energy of the city. We are most thankful for the host letting us enjoy her beautiful home.

Best Overall For Families

Amazing property for families, location, view, beach access and fun! My wife and 4 children could not come up with a negative, it worked for all. Barbara was an amazing host and communicator. I would highly recommend her family home to anyone.
