About this property

Rio Rainbow Cabin sleeps 12+ and sits riverfront on the Rio Grande River in South Fork, CO. The Gold medal waters are home to world class rainbow and brown trout right off your back porch. We are 17 miles from Wolf Creek ski area which boasts the most snow in Colorado. South Fork is the closest town to the mountain with no snowy passes to travel up or down. There are hundreds of miles of snow mobile and ATV trails in the area. In the summer explore Wheeler Geological Area, hike to waterfalls, climb a 14er in the beautiful San Juan Mountains, explore beautiful Creede and its amazing mines, or just sit on the back porch and enjoy nature. We are located right on the scenic Silver Thread Highway which is the most beautiful of drives. The cabin is stocked with all the amenities you could possibly need down to Le Cruset pots to smart TV's in every bedroom and all the comforts of home. Weather permitting it is a treat to start up a fire in the outdoor pit, grill, and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. We hope you love our piece of paradise as much as we do. Great for families

Great updated place in a great location. Even had a great sledding hill within a short walking distance. Everything was as described. Access via the neighborhood road can be interesting when it rains as it is down a small hill and the roads get muddy, but we were able to get through.

We had the most amazing time! The house is so comfortable. The house is very quiet, warm and well stocked. The outdoor hanging lights are gorgeous in the snow and the view is so pretty! Will completely stay here again!!

A Great Stay

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect! From the pictures, I couldn't tell the layout of the property, so I was pleasantly surprised. The bedrooms are away from the kitchen and living areas. Those who wanted to sleep late could, and everyone else didn't have to be quiet. The patio was fantastic for sipping coffee in the mornings, playing corn hole in the evenings, and staring at the mountains... always. We enjoyed the fire pit and the short walk to the river. I would definitely book this house again.

River adventure

Location was excellent, would have liked it to be a little more secluded but home was very accommodating and the kids loved the bunk room. It was close to everything we had planned ot do.

great hub for CO vacation

Rio Rainbow Cabin was the perfect spot to stay for our family - easy access to Creede for exploring and fishing, as well as easy getting around SouthFork and Beaver Creek trails. We loved the large living and dining rooms and spent time as a family playing cards around the dining table. Great access off the back to the Rio Grande for fly fishing practice.
