Lovely private cabin located in the country - ask us about family reunions also

A lovely cabin with 2 bedrooms plus a loft with up to 3 beds and 2 bathrooms . Complete kitchen for making your own meals or we we will provide meals at an extra charge. Located in a quiet country setting..
Along with our jet tub for soaking, you can curl up on a love seat in the main sitting area watching a DVD or reading one of the many books available.
All this after a hike along the coulee edge.
OR There is great opportunity for skidooing in the coulee hills.
We are only 10 minutes from Halkirk and the rejuvenated Halkirk Hotel or the little “Flea Market” Store.
25 minutes from Castor where in the summer there is paddle boarding , kayaking etc on the picturesque Creek
35 min from Stettler where the Central Alberta Tour train ride
35 min to Forestburg.
Big Knife Park and the Battle River are only 20 min away with great hiking
Less than an hour to Buffalo Lake and just over an hour to Prairie Oasis ( a man made lake with nice green space and good boating).
Come winter we are only about 20 min to the little Alliance Ski Hill.

Excellent, nice and quiet cabin

Bernice and a Bernie were fantastic hosts, very warm welcome at check in, they were excellent communicators providing detailed instructions on how to get there. We loved the disc golf baskets just outside, they provided us with discs to play, bocci ball and corn hole too. We had a fantastic time there. Thank you very much for hosting us.

Beautiful Cabin in the Hills

Bernice and Bernie were lovely hosts to us at their cabin. The cabin was so homey and functional, with great ambiance and everything you needed. We stayed in February and would love to come enjoy the cabin again in warmer temperatures to make use of the gorgeous fire pit area! They went above and beyond to help us with block heater cords when the temps dropped overnight. Excellent getaway!

Brilliant weekend break

Fantastic cabin situated on attractive farm property. Wonderful host and friendly animals. Enough in the local area for a decent amount of exploring, even more if you're into geomorphology.

Peaceful escape!

The cabin and surrounding area made for a perfect country escape! Bernice was very kind and welcoming! The property offered nature paths to explore, horses to visit, cats to pet and a dog to belly rub! I would love to return!

Home away from home.

This is the second time me and my friends have stayed at this location. We love it. It has everything we need for our glamping trip . We discussed trying somewhere new next year, but we know it won’t meet our expectations probably as much as this location And B&B are so kind and welcoming!!!!

the best place i have ever stayed

we were there for a week cabin and property are stunning. The hosts are great, very friendly and would go above and beyond for you. Would definitely recommend that you stay here and enjoy the experience. I will definitely go back.

My wife and 4 daughters stayed here for a mother/daughter getaway weekend and absolutely fell in love with the place. It was everything they wanted it to be. The host was lovely to deal with and the facility was amazing and easy to find. According to my wife, her and and now need to go for a runaway weekend!

Outstanding!

Fantastic! Exceptional hosts, both human and animals! :)) We enjoyed the frisbee golf and board games. It is so peaceful and quiet. The cabin was fully equipped with everything you need. So many personal touches that make it feel like home. The home cooked meals were a bonus - highly suggest that people take advantage of that option. Thank you B&B, we will be back!!

Our family absolutely enjoyed our stay. Bernice and Bernie are warm and generous. The cabin has everything a family needs. The coulees were a short walk from the yard, so a nice little jaunt before sunset, which were lovely! Peaceful, quiet, and serene. We certainly enjoyed exploring with Jesse, the farm dog, and morning snuggles with the cats. There was plenty of space for yard games. The fire pit was great for an evening of chatter and s’mores. Thank you both for your hospitality.

A true hidden gem 💎

When we drove up, a beautiful white horse welcomed us to the farm. Then Jesse (the cutest dog) greeted us as we parked. The cabin itself was wonderfully cozy and so clean; there were fresh sheets, blankets, pillows and everything you need available. Even a pair of reading glasses (which I forgot to pack). The stove, fridge and microwave worked great for our usage. The best part of this trip was the tour of the farm led by Jesse and Tigger (the cat)! We watched a beautiful sunset from the farm, and got to pet one of the horses who came to say hello. At night, we enjoyed the comfy fire pit, and roasted hot dogs and made s’mores. There is a beautiful pergola with hanging lights that really adds to the mood. And in the late night, the view of the stars is magical. Before we left, we met Bernice, who was a very kind and sweet host, and had lots of fun stories to share. Overall, this was one of the best weekend getaways me and my family has ever had! We will definitely book again! 😊

Loved this slice of heaven

Girl’s Trip 2023 was an absolute success! The youngest is 9yrs old and fell in love with all the animals. We loved how relaxing and comfortable this cabin was. A genuine slice of heaven. Thank you to Bernice and Vanessa ;) for the warm hospitality.

Prairie Solitude

Our 4 day stay at this location was everything we were looking for. Our hosts are multigenerational prairie folks who define country hospitality. The farm animals were a big hit with all, and were just as hospitable. The cabin afforded lots of room for a family of four, allowing ample space for cooking, visiting, or reading that book to the last chapter. There was always a sunset, nature or unique landscape to take a picture of. The painted earth coulees are surreal. We would surely drop in again when near this area.

Amazing get away

We went on a girls trip away. It was amazing. Cabin was lovely and Bernie and Bernice were the greatest!!! We will be talking about this vacation for a long time. We had the best time. Hope to come back again one day and bring our families. ❤️

Blew away our expectations

Clean, idyllic, in the middle of beautiful ranchlands, the experience of this cabin has impressed us to come back soon. It is everything we wanted in a rustic, isolated cabin while having all of the amenities of a city home. Excellent caretakers helped elevate our time while giving us all the time alone we wanted. Highly recommend.
