About this property

The Creek House is super nice and country quiet. Come and enjoy!

The Creek House is located on a pristine freshwater canal that meanders into the Cooper River. It is ideal for kayaking, fishing, and small craft boating. There are two kayaks and a canoe available. There are some lifejackets, but you may want to pack your own. The fishing is good. There are some fishing poles available, but no tackle. For tackle, you will need 8 to 10 lb. test line, small corks, BB size sinkers, and small hooks. The best bait is worms, crickets, or pieces of a hot dog. Then you are off to the fishing hole and hopefully the frying pan! Bon Appetit!
The property includes a private boat landing with a floating dock. The floating dock has a bench for two, perfect for a cocktail in the afternoon. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere always!! The boat ramp is 12 ft. wide. The backyard also includes a fire pit with wood provided.
The upstairs is surrounded by a 10' by 40' deck with a picnic table, benches, and an umbrella, as well as a 12' by 20' screened porch with a swing and porch table and chairs. There is a gas grill stored on the screened porch, which can be moved onto the open deck for use. Entering the upstairs, you will find a living room with a panoramic view of the back yard, creek, and boat landing. The living room also sports a free-standing gas log fireplace for your enjoyment and ambience, a smart TV, two swivel rockers, and a reclining loveseat. A bar, seating 3, separates the living and dining areas. A dining table, seating at least 9, is located behind the bar. A fully equipped kitchen includes granite countertops, gas range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven/air fryer, blender, Keurig coffee maker, and a small basket-style coffee maker. Upstairs also includes 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet, and ensuite bath. A second bedroom has a king bed, closet, and shares a full hallway bath with the third bedroom, which has a double bed with a twin loft bed above it.
A roomy elevator connects the two stories to facilitate easy access for luggage, groceries, and guests with limited mobility. Downstairs includes a large bedroom with 2 twin beds and a small living area with two rocking chairs, as well as a full bath, laundry area, and a double-car garage. One bay of the garage is reserved for the owner. The other bay is open for guests’ use. Downstairs also has a 10’ by 40’ ground-level deck with a teak table and 6 chairs. Next to the downstairs deck is a very roomy enclosed (private) shower with hot water for the adventurous soul. The shower is also great for families coming from the beach or ball games.
The upstairs has wood floors throughout. Wireless internet, television, and a DVD player (connected to the living area television) are provided. Televisions are located in the living area, master bedroom, and the downstairs bedroom. There is no telephone landline. Movies, some games, and a few outdoor toys are available. Swimming in the creek is not recommended.
The Creek House is located in a quiet rural community. It is 17 miles from Mt. Pleasant, SC; 25 miles from Isle of Palms; 26 miles from Sullivan's Island; and 25 miles from downtown Charleston. It is 9 miles from Shipyard Park, or about a 12-to-15-minute drive.

Nuke grad weekend
We enjoyed our 3-night stay and would return if there was a reason. Everything was fully stocked; literally the only thing missing were chip bag clips! :) Furniture was comfortable, dock fishing didn't yield any fish but there is a boat ramp into the canal right off the driveway. Downstairs is like a mini apartment but there are no indoor stairs to use, only the elevator or outside stairs with two points of access from the upstairs deck. Very nice home that the owners also use for their stays away from home.

Baseball Tournament
We stayed with another family for a baseball tournament. After a long day of baseball then beach, it was nice to come back and relax. The neighborhood is quiet. We enjoyed a few nights by the fire and a rainy day on the screened in porch. The teenagers enjoyed the basement and fishing off the dock. The creek house is plenty large enough where we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The home was provided with all the things we needed in the kitchen to make cooking a breeze. The drive to the beach was less than 30 min. We enjoyed Charleston Family Fun Park, Toast for brunch and Famulari’s for a pizza night.

Too inexpensive for such a great place!!! What a deal!
The hosts where great. Everything we forgot to bring was available on site. If it is available next time we visit Charleston. We will definitely stay again. My grandson caught 3 fish off the dock in the back. Thanks for the great stay and the memories.

We are a native South Carolinian couple....both born, raised, and educated through high school in the Lowcountry. Our college and graduate educations were attained within SC. We reside in Mount Pleasant, in a home that we built and moved into in 1973! We look forward to sharing our Creek House with you. No matter how far we've come or how old we've become, we love the smell of the salt marsh and the feel of plough mud between our toes and welcome you to South Carolina's awesome Lowcountry!
