'Tomtebo' - Cosy lake view cabin in Gesunda, Mora

A cosy family cottage, with large living area and open fireplace, facing on a big and beautiful lawn, with views down to lake Siljan.
Go swimming, fishing, boating on the lake; walking, cycling through the forest or up Gesundaberget; visit the city of Mora, or explore the heritage of Dalarna!

Tomtebo has always been a family cottage, in a traditional Dalacarlia style.
Sit inside warming yourself round the open fireplace, or catch some sun on the patio and in the big garden.
Head down to our jetty on the lake for a relaxing swim, or go see what the rest of Dalarna has to offer!

If you're coming for Vasaloppet make sure to book soon as it's always a busy time!

Guests get full access to the main cabin, and big harbre if you need the extra beds.
A bit more about beds: There is 1 double bed and 1 double sofa bed (which can be separated into 2 singles) in the main cabin.
1 double bed in the härbre (which can be separated), and 1 single.

Tomtebo

We really enjoyed this property with its quaint offerings. Both the cottage & the härbre are delightful. The setting quite scenic. The only downside (we were 6 adults) was the bathroom is essentially an en-suite. Otherwise we loved this well-appointed cottage

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem Nachteil

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt vom 8.7. - 18.07.2024 sehr genossen, schöne und ruhige Lage, idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge im Sommerurlaub. Einziger Nachteil, den wir erst vor Ort feststellen konnten, da wir keinen Grundriß vom Haus hatten: Im Haupthaus gibt es nur ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und das Badezimmer ist nur durch das Schlafzimmer hindurch zu erreichen; etwas unglücklich, wenn man mit mehr als 2 Personen Urlaub macht und nachts ggfs immer durch das Schlafzimmer laufen muß, um auf das WC zu kommen - alternativ müsste man das Plumpsklo im Garten nutzen...

Pure Erholung

Das Cottage bietet alles für eine erholsame Zeit. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet, das Bad geräumig, der Aufenthaltsraum groß genug bei schlechtem Wetter. Das Grundstück ist sehr groß und läd zum verweilen ein. Das Habre ist funktionell und niedlich - lediglich das Tür schließen von außen ist problematisch. Uns fehlte leider ein Sonnenschutz ( Sonnenschirm oder - Segel wäre toll gewesen). Vielleicht haben wir ihn aber auch nicht gefunden. Gesunda iselbst ist ruhig gelegen, der See lädt zum Schwimmen ein und die Umgebung ist typisch schwedisch. Perfekt zum Erholen.

Gern wieder

Wir waren mit unsere zwei Kindern eine Woche in Tomtebo und haben dies sehr genossen. Das Haus hat alles was man benötigt, die Lage ist ideal zum Wandern und der Badplatz ist auch sehr schön gelegen. Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal vorbei.

Erholsame Ferien

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserer Unterkunft, Wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche stellt. Es war sauber und gemütlich. Der Check in war unkompliziert und bei Fragen bekamen wir schnell eine Antwort. Für 2 Personen ist es ideal. Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und da war es schon manchmal schwierig mit nur einem Bad und dann auch noch durchs Schlafzimmer. Wir sind aber zurecht gekommen und haben uns arrangiert. Es war viel Platz auf dem Grundstück. Die Hunde könnten sich frei bewegen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend. Es war alles da, was man benötigt hat und der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich. Es waren viele Zecken vor Ort. Ein Boot hat gefehlt. Das wäre ideal, wenn es dabei wäre, da der See nur einen kurzen Weg entfernt liegt.

Uriges Haus und Naturnah platziert

Großes Grundstück und eignet sich daher optimal für einen Urlaub mit Hund. Modernisierte Küche und Badezimmer aber das restliche Equipment sowie Einrichtungen könnten hier und da mal ein Upgrade erhalten. Ebenso die Matratze des Doppelbett ist in die Jahre gekommen und sollte mal ausgetauscht werden.

Wunderschön

Wir waren zu viert mit zwei Hunden in Gesunda. Der Vermieter hat immer sehr schnell auf meine Fragen geantwortet und war super!! Die Häuser, der riesige Garten und die Umgebung sind super. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der See direkt vor der Tür. Dort kann man schwimmen, Kanu und Stand-Up-Paddelboard fahren. Die Gegend ist auch super zum Wandern. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in Schweden. Gerne immer wieder!

Lugnt & avslappnade

En mysig plats där man verkligen kan gå ner i varv och koppla av. Huset hade de flesta bekvämligheterna som man behöver vid en semester. Någon äldre detaljer men allt fungerar och är enligt beskrivningen.

Alles so, wie erwartet

Gemütliches Häuschen, dass der Beschreibung entsprach. Umfangreiche Küchenausstattung. Ein sehr großes Grundstück mit reichlich Platz zum Spielen und trotzdem noch ein großer Teil naturbelassen, sehr schön. Den Badesteg am Siljan konnten wir bei 2 Wochen Sommerwetter häufig geniessen.

Schöne Lage

Es hat alles was man braucht. Mora, Solerön, Tomteland, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Siljan, alles sehr Nahe. Einzig störend waren Mücken, hatten am ersten Tag die Fenster offen, dies sollte man besonders Abends vermeiden. Sonst absolut zufrieden

Eine schöne Gegend um die Ruhe genießen zu können. Leider haben die Moskitos das Vergnügen am Abend draußen sich aufzuhalten getrübt. Hier könnten mehr Moskitogitter für die Fenster vorhanden sein.

Wir haben uns im Haus und auf der großen Wiese total wohl gefühlt, haben entspannt bei strahlendem Wetter und konnten mit dem Rad tolle Ausflüge in die Umgebung machen. Das Bad im Siljan See war ein Muss!
