Truly peaceful

This spot is a wonderfully peaceful & relaxing retreat. Pond is tranquil & birds come & go (bring binoculars). You’d never know that you are literally just a few steps away from the restaurants & shops of Flat Rock. Immaculate inside with all you need to enjoy your stay.

We lucked up on this property at the last minute. Couldn't have asked for more! Gorgeous inside and out and perfect location to check out Flat Rock by foot. Suzanne couldn't have been nicer and the property had all one would need and more. Highly recommend for a couple that wants a little R&R. We hope to go back soon!

Great getaway for one.

This was a terrific property for a person to come and relax—a great view of the lake. The decor is modern and has lots of amenities. The only drawback is you hear the owner above you whenever they are home. Otherwise, the property is perfect.

The location of this property couldn’t be better. There’s a precious theater, bakery, a few restaurants, and shopping within walking distance. Downtown Hendersonville is a short 10 minute drive. This home is one of the nicest I’ve ever visited. It was clean, well decorated and so cozy. We will be back!!

Perfect Location and Beautiful Setting

This is my second stay at Serenity at Flat Rock. I enjoyed it as much as my first stay. The location is perfect for getting to all that the area has to offer. We loved walking to the Carl Sandburg house to walk each day and enjoyed eating at the restaurants that were all walking distance. The apartment is lovely and has everything that you need for a week or more stay. The check in and check out process is easy. The setting is truly beautiful. I was sad to leave and look forward to staying again.

Relaxing Getaway!

We had a wonderful time in Flat Rock and the Serenity in Flat Rock was a perfect spot for us! The hosts were so accommodating and responsive to all of our needs and the location is amazing. The view of the lake along with the easy walk to visit the goats and hike at the Carl Sandberg Home and the availability to grab breakfast, lunch and dinner right up the road was awesome! We also had several delicious dinners in Hendersonville and went on the incredible hike to Pearson’s Falls a short drive away in Saluda. Flat Rock and Hendersonville are true gems to be explored. Thank you!!!

Perfectly named property

The property is beautiful, serene and picturesque. Inside is very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. It has all of the comforts of home and more. Gorgeous bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom stocked with comfortable bedding and towels. There are wonderful restaurants within a short walking distance and lots of outdoor activities close by. A must revisit property and a definite referral for friends! It kills me to give its such a great review because I want it to be available when we want to return.

Needed Tranquility

My wife and I have been through a complex and demanding time and needed time away to recoup, rediscover each other, and just relax. We found it here, and it surpassed our expectations. The setting is serenity itself -- a lovely home on a small lake. And no boats to break the silence. The working fireplace is a delightful bonus and the linens luxuriant. They are adding a second bedroom, so we will return with others.

I really enjoyed this property. Very clean and up to date. There is no stove and I didn't find out until I got inside that there was "No Fishing or Boating" on the lake. That would have been nice to know before actually booking. Otherwise, Everything was great!

Peaceful Relaxation

We found the location of this property perfect! So many lovely places within walking distance or short car ride. Nestled in a quiet, peaceful small neighborhood was very relaxing. The outdoor area over looking the pond was gorgeous and so comfortable. We will be returning to Flat Rock and highly recommend this property for a laidback holiday for two.

Pretty little perfect place

We absolutely loved our stay here! We made breakfast and dinners in the kitchen and watched movies at night and sat out on the porch overlooking the pond for long talks and star gazing. It was the perfect base for daily excursions to the Gorge for zip lining, Cedar Creek Stables for horseback riding, hiking behind the Carl Sandburg house, sight seeing around Lake Lure and wine tasting in Hendersonville. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location - Convenient & Peaceful

It is hard to find a place that feels both convenient to commercial areas but is also isolated enough to provide a relaxing environment. This places covers both. When you leave in the morning and see/ hear the woods and lake, it is hard to believe that you can walk to a coffee bar or BBQ lunch in < 5 min. A great mix.
