Quiet country setting nestled in the trees. Enjoy your stay in our new (2018) modern cabin on 30 acres in the piney woods. Sip your favorite beverage rocking on the enormous porch while your steaks are cooking on the grill. At night you can gather around the lower fire pit and stargaze. It is unlikely you will encounter anyone other than the hosts, unless you venture out for walk down to one of the neighboring farms.

Wonderful Retreat!

We have stayed in quite a few vacation rentals and this is probably the most comfortable, peaceful and well stocked place we have been. The hosts thought of every detail to make our stay enjoyable and to make us feel welcome.

Relaxing getaway

It’s a gorgeous place. I took pics for ideas on building my own house. It’s a perfect place to relax, bird watch, drink coffee/mimosa, playing games with family, roasting s’mores etc.

If you want peace and quiet then you need to go here. This place is fully equipped like your own home. As far as clean, you can bring you white glove aunt and won’t find anything. The fresh yard eggs were an added bonus and we ate the all.Thank you Steve and Lori

Country Retreat

As always, this is the one of the best properties on the VRBO site. The hospitality of the hosts is HANDS DOWN the best I’ve ever experienced. The property is immaculate and peaceful. The actual beauty of the cabin and property itself pales in comparison to the pictures, so you will not be disappointed.

It was the perfect getaway. 2 girls needing a de stress break and we got it! The house was amazing. All the little touches were thought of…fully stocked kitchen, farm fresh eggs, s’mores! Plenty of firewood, comfortable beds, and exceptionally clean. Hiking trails to walk and a peaceful setting. We will definitely be back!

Perfection in the Pines

Lovely home, location, & hosts. Very clean, well stocked kitchen & bathrooms. The porch is amazing & quiet, perfect for that morning cup of coffee and/or evening glass of vine; for visiting, listening, & wildlife watching. Easy communication with hosts. The most relaxing place EVER

Forest Retreat

The property is absolutely amazing. The hosts are friendly and responsive. Could not have had a better time. This is a quiet destination if you want to get out of the city and be in a natural setting. Great for families and pets!

Perfect accomodations!

Spent 2 days with 3 cousins and 2 spouses here and we all were giving the house and grounds very much higher grade than on any score rating grid. The house is beautiful (& new), large open great room and even more inviting spacious porch with the rocking chairs to enjoy this unique sylvan nest among the pines. Tina & Steve have made Figs & Feathers a superb destination to relax and shut the door to the rest of the world. We will recommend this to anyone as it was a special venue for we senior citizens to rehash family memories. The beds were very comfortable as was the great room seating. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining table seats six. "Wow!" is the best description for this property. We know that future guests will say the same thing.

Perfect weekend getaway

What a beautiful property in rural Texas! The house was great and perfect for three adults. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, playing horseshoes, rocking in the chairs on the porch and hiking the wooded trail. The farm fresh eggs and fall decorations were a welcome surprise! Everything made for a lovely weekend.
