Old Parkland Hostel located in Galle, within 1.5 miles of Jungle Beach and 1.6 miles of Rumassala South Beach (Unawatuna Beach). Rumassala is a hilly peninsula which lies between Unawatuna beach and Magalle bay. Rumassala, known to some as Buona Vista, is the subject of many legends. It features in the Ramayana, as the home of the beautiful Queen Sita, hidden in the jungle nearby. Unawatuna Beach is the most “ famous “ beach in the county and one of the biggest tourist destinations in Sri Lanka. Unawatuna is especially renowned for its sunny climes, white beaches, and fun parties.
One of world heritage site is Galle Dutch Fort situated in 2.1 miles from the property. It is a historical archaeological and architectural heritage monument. It has a more than 5 centuries history. The property is around 2 miles from Galle International Cricket Stadium, it’s one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the world. The property is 1.1 miles from Galle Harbour and 2 miles from Mahendra Amarasooriya Park.
