It was amazing and near every store and many restaurants. Ezekiel and Rosita were exceptional hosts. They made us feel very comfortable and loved. Make sure you bring translator if you don’t speak Spanish. Neither one speaks or understands English

If you want to be on a beautiful beach, this place is fantastic. The on-site host, lives next-door, set up our shaded beach shelter every day for us. The road to the place is right on the beach and four-wheel-drive is pretty much needed.

We loved our stay here. The location is great for food and stores. Walking out of the patio to the beach cannot be beat. It was so quiet and peaceful. We felt completely safe and would love to come back someday!

This property is everything it seems and more!!! Right on the beach, with high tide coming close to the little road; so cool to watch. Cold A/C, well equiped if small kitchen area, nice bathroom with plenty of space to hang or fold clothes. Excellent on site hosts that are very responsive via Whatsapp.

Amazing! Only steps from the beach. The caretaker Danelo was there for us whenever we needed something. He set up a canopy and chairs on the beach for us every morning. Our only complaint was there was no TV, which since it gets dark so early we didn't have a lot to do.

La Penca was everything we hoped it would be and more. Beautiful property, amazing beach and so close to great food and fun! Digna and Omar were amazing hosts and so very helpful. We will definitely be back again.

The beach location is absolutely stunning!! You can’t get any better or closer to the beach. The beach area had very few people around. The accommodation had everything we needed and it was by far our favourite place and beach spot.

Digna and Omar were wonderful hosts. The place was just as described and right on the beach. We had our own beach shade provided, the sunsets were amazing. The kitchen was well stocked, the king sized bed very comfortable. On the whole our stay was wonderful, thank you so much!

Absolutely loved staying here. The most relaxing trip I’ve ever had. If you want to walk out the door and spend the day on a quiet beach, this is the place. Short walk to groceries and restaurants. Did not explore the other beaches along the coast because there was no reason to leave. I was able to get private transport to come right to the house for drop off and pick up.

Digna and Omar were very welcoming and helpful if needed. The studio was exactly as advertised, very clean. What an amazing spot, right on a beautiful beach! The mornings were so peaceful and quiet there, you had the beach to yourself most mornings.

The property was delightful and our late arrival still was warmly welco ed by the manager and her husband. We felt safe to walk the beach and surrounding streets which have some great little eating places. This place was the perfect end to our stay in Costa Rica.

Stunning

This was better than described- such a gem to stay here! Beach was amazing and seen lots of fish snorkelling.Was our favourite place out of our whole trip! We plan to stay here next time we come down.

The studio was stylish and very clean, and just as it appears in the pictures. Digna and Omar are lovely unobtrusive caretakers. The views and steps-to-the-beach access are unmatched. We arrived, parked our car behind the pretty white gate in the yard, and we didn’t move it for 4days. We could get everything we wanted just a few blocks away: casual delicious cafes, fruit stand, market. It was heaven.

The room is right on the beach with a postcard perfect view. Patio has a bar facing the water for morning coffee and sunset viewing. Private cabana with comfy lounge chairs were great for napping, reading, hanging out. Bed was solid and very comfortable. Hosts are friendly and attentive.Of course there are some ants, this a a tropical beach. And getting there has some challenges, recommend a small 4x4. And this is not a hotel or a brand new building, so don’t expect that. Do expect to sleep well hearing waves lap at the shore, and to be blown away by the beauty.
