You're going to be blown away by this amazing oceanfront home featuring spectacular views of the Atlantic and Folly River. This retreat's first floor has oceanfront decks and a bedroom with views of the marsh. The second floor is simply awesome, with beautiful floors, high ceilings, and tons of space thanks to the open-concept floor plan. Use the full kitchen to get creative with today's catch then gather everyone into the spacious living area for a night of games and great conversation.

You have all of Folly Beach waiting for you right out your front door. Be sure to check out the seasonal Folly Beach Pier festivals like Folly Gras and the Sea and Sand Festival. If you want to get out to some parks, Folly Beach County Park is just four miles away for some great birdwatching and beach activity. For those interested in exploring downtown Charleston, it's only 14 miles away with all the history, culture, fine dining, street art, and live music venues you can handle during your vacation!

Awesome views but Terrible beds.

Mattresses were so worn it felt like sleeping in a hammock. Fresh towels on all the beds were damp upon arrival and had to be dried. Washing machine is dated and does little more than rinse clothing. Most of the furniture is very dated. One of us fell through a chair that was broken but just covered up with a blanket and pillows in the master bedroom. Views were great but whole home needs updating and doesn’t feel like it’s worth the price. Also- having to check out at 10 a.m. still feels ridiculous.

Great location, Property in Declining Condition

This was our 4th vacation at this property over the past 5 years (no vacation in 2020 due to Covid). The first year we stayed, the house was in great shape. The elevator from ground level to the 1st floor is a necessity for luggage and groceries (esp cases of water) as the two flights of front steps leading to the main entrance are very, very steep. Each subsequent year that we returned, the property had issues (e.g., last year the oven did not work). This year the bathrooms were not cleaned well, the AC could not cool the house without window AC units (which were brought in last minute and their shipping boxes had to be removed) and the elevator never worked which was a serious issue as my daughter is 6 months pregnant and I have a leg injury. The Vacasa property manager responded quickly, but said the owner had to approve any repairs which they did not during our stay. We also heard from Vacasa that the property changed owners since our first stay, and it was clear they did not intend to maintain the property like the previous owner. We did not complain in the past and worked around the issues last year, but over the past 5 years, the rental price has more than doubled while the property has declined. We have enjoyed our vacations at Folly Beach, but unfortunately this will be the last at this "Low Places" property, a fitting name for the wrong reasons.
