We were very pleased with the cabin. It is rustic and very pretty. Bedrooms nicely decorated. Bathrooms very clean. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. Close to downtown Gatlinburg. The host was excellent. And we did see Bear!!!! Would definitely stay and recommend for your visit.

Bear Sanctuary

This place lives up to its name. We were lucky enough to see bears 5 out of 7 days. The cabin was very clean and well kept. We had one small inconvenience and when I messaged the host, he responded within 15 minutes. I would 10/10 recommend this cabin to any family.

My family & I very much enjoyed our stay at Bear Sanctuary. It was clean, plenty of room for all of us and conveniently located to downtown and the National Park entrance. Best of all, we saw bears twice out in the back!

Great family getaway.

Very nice cabin, with plenty of room to congregate or have your own space. Nice up to date appliances, and the hot tub and pool table were great. Easy access from the road, and a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg. Super easy check in and check out, and great communication with the owners.

Have a great time Kevin was really nice. Saw bear which my brother-in-law had never seen up close. Enjoyed the Hatfields and McCoy show and the Dixie stampede show.

Lives up to it's name, bears everywhere all day and night . Beautiful cabin.

Saw bears as soon as we pulled up, a mama and 3 cubs, who visited daily. Also saw quite a few males. Cabin is very nice. Had a great time

Bear Santuary

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Bear Santuary cabin and loved having the 4 king size beds. Stephen was wonderful returning any phone calls with our questions.. We had daily visits from the local bears and followed all the bear rules. 🐻 Look forward to coming again.

Wonderful area, especially if you like hills lol!!! There are a lot of bears in the area! If you’re lucky you might see the family of four! The hosts communicated very well also!

Great cabin

Cabin was comfortable and had plenty of separate bedrooms/ bathrooms for a family of four plus two grandmothers It gives an authentic cabin feeling that is great, when in the mountains. Access is easy and location is perfect. Close to Ober and Gatlinburg. You can take the "back road" when Ober traffic is long and back up; but still be near the top of the mountain.

Anniversary Trip

We brought our elderly parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. The cabin was perfect with flat parking and a master on the main. It was also very close to the Gatlinburg strip. The roads are very curvy and mountainous getting there, but the cabin was perfect for us! The owners were very responsive when we had an issue with the oven, but it was definitely not a dealbreaker. Lovely stay and great accommodations!

Beautiful cabin in the mountains!

This home was such a treat. Really, the perfect getaway with my family. How often do you get a rental with 4 king sized bedrooms? It was plenty of space and the hot tub on the back deck overlooking the woods was a bonus! Host was really great with communication and the check in and check out process was easy. We liked how it felt like a true log cabin but with modern touches (nice tvs and keyless entry, etc). Thanks so much for the visit!

Fishing in Gatlinburg

The property was easy to access since we had one person with some physical limitations. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. They had a good front porch for socializing after fishing. Suggestions, add a better option for disposing of grill coals and some of the furniture is starting to show a bit of wear, replace or refinish. Overall, a solid rental.

Great cabin !!

Bear Sanctuary is close to town and has everything you need. Very clean and comfortable. We had visits from bears. Mama and two cubs, and a couple others. Fun to watch. We didn’t have any problems with the Bear getting into our vehicles. Kept them locked and no food in them. Used the bear safe garbage cans provided. This place is great!! Would love to come again!

A nice getaway!

Everything was wonderful. For the overall rating, I gave it 4 stars. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is that I though every room had its on bathroom. There is four bathroom but only 2 rooms has its own bathroom. The pictures is a bit misleading. Other than that its a beautiful cabin and we had a great time.

Perfect Location!

The Chalet Village location in proximity to the National park was absolutely perfect! We hiked several trails in the mountains almost everyday. The beautiful town of Gatlinburg was quiet, entertaining and also conveniently located to other areas of interest. The cabin was perfect for our family of 8, with plenty of space. We had several close encounters with black bears on the property during our stay, which was very cool to see, but you can tell that there must have been visitors to the area in the past that have not respected the locals warnings and advice on not feeding the bears. These guys are just looking for handouts, so please do not feed them for your safety and theirs. The cabin and unique setting were absolutely beautiful, so for future visitors, let’s help keep it that way for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment! Would absolutely stay here again, and so grateful for the wonderful memories we made:)

Property location was awesome- we had access to three different pools, which was perfect with kids! The property was in a more secluded area, but was filled with views of wildlife. We saw bears every single day multiple times a day up close, and we were able to see owls as well! Perfect mix of outdoorsy/fun plus great distance from the hustle and bustle! Host was extremely responsive, and great to work with.

A comfortable stay!

We enjoyed staying in this home!! We liked the space, it’s much bigger than what we thought and quickly felt like home! The pool table and 4 king beds were a big hit - mattresses felt like new, nice and firm. The big kitchen table was perfect for meals and playing games! The listing pictures of the bottom deck with the hot tub are not accurate, it must be from many years ago. The deck is not nearly that new and it was very dirty. The patio furniture was unusable, unless we wanted to wash it all down and we did not. Based on the conditions, we did not feel comfortable using the hot tub. The upper deck was clean and we sat on the nice rocking chairs every afternoon! The bugs weren’t bad at all! We seen a bear almost every day, which at first we thought was super cool!!! Until our little friend got too comfortable coming up to the house, our vehicle and once even snuck up behind my daughter while she was swinging on the porch. We tried to yell and honk at it, but it did not care. Based on the amount of trash that was spread around, this was definitely the bears favorite hang out! It should probably be relocated. Thanks for the hospitality! Overall, you have a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location!
