Private 7 bedroom property with 3 amazing swimming pools and superb coastal view

Quinta Dos Raposos is a 7 bedroom premier villa with a south facing aspect. The spacious light and bright two storey villa provides a panoramic view of the coastline from both floors of the house and as such the aspect showcases all that the western Algarve has to offer. The property has arguably the best sea facing views on the Funchal ridge.

The grounds of the property have a magnificent three swimming pool complex that consists of a 20 metre lap pool with inbuilt Jacuzzi, a waterfall dropping down into a large main pool which then feeds an infant friendly ‘paddling pool’. Surrounding the pools are large lush grounds that provide plenty of areas for sun worshipers to enjoy and kids to play, as well as plenty of space for some relaxed quiet time. There are several seating areas and options outside around the property for all.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A STRICT 12 PEOPLE MAX OCCUPANCY RULE. WE ALSO HAVE A STRICT NO PARTIES RULE.

When you enter the house from the enclosed entrance courtyard, you will be lead into a large open plan area. This area is the main living and entertaining space for the home and has almost floor to ceiling windows that can be opened to create an indoor/outdoor feel to the properties patios, grounds and views. There is plenty of space to relax, dine and cook with family and friends.

The dining area looks out to the internal court yard with all its leafy greenery. A heavy oak dining table is perfect for those indoor dinners. Leading from the dining area is the lounge which again offers plenty of seating for people to relax day or night whilst facing the properties gardens and views.

The entertainers kitchen has been designed to provide a great indoor/outdoor dining experience. There is a large inbuilt BBQ area which seamlessly connects with the indoor kitchen. Sliding windows from the main kitchen connects with the outside ground floor patio. A large island centres the kitchen which is ideal for the cooks amongst your party or for those who like to sit, relax and watch the cook work some magic. You will find an induction hob, large fridge /freezer, dishwasher, two ovens, microwave and two handy wine fridges.

The patio off the kitchen offers dining seating for 12 people as well as it being home to a number of loungers and outdoor sofa seating; perfect to capture the 180 degree sea/coastal views and the day long sunshine. A handy ceiling fan is fixed to cool you in the day and several wall mounted external heaters are fixed in this area to ensure you enjoy this space to the max at night. Even in winter the outside can be enjoyed.

Off the entertainers kitchen is the overflow kitchen which has an additional fridge , coffee and tea station, a full range of crockery, some additional small appliances for use as well as storage. Continuing from this area you will enter the separate laundry/ utility room. The utility room houses the washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board and a small freezer.

From the kitchen area you can access our gym. Which you can also view from the kitchen/open plan living via a glass wall partition. The roof of the gym is a large glass panel that brings in lots of natural light for your workouts. There is also a door which provides access to a small outside courtyard that leads to the side/back door. We hope you can if inclined, enjoy a work out in this space.

Through a small corridor off the entertainers kitchen you will find one of our seven ensuite bedrooms. This bedroom has two single beds, plenty of wardrobe storage and an ensuite bathroom with walk in shower.

Also on the ground floor across from the entrance to the villa is our largest bedroom suit. This two room and patio suit consists of a large seating area with a small inbuilt kitchen with fridge, two ring induction hob, oven, kettle and microwave. Off the living area and before entering the separate bedroom , there is a great sized en-suite bathroom that has a double sink, a large jet shower, toilet and bidet. Entering through a connecting door from the living area is the bedroom. This bedroom has a king sized bed, chester drawers and wardrobe. Both the lounge area and bedroom area have access to a private patio with seating. This room is perfect for a family with small children or for a more discerning guest who likes a little peace and quiet, maybe away from the children!

Back at the entrance of the property to the right you will find the staircase that leads to a mid section/corridor as well as the upper main floor. Firstly if you go up a few stairs and towards a separate corridor you will find two more of the properties bedrooms.

The first bedroom off the corridor is a large long bedroom. This long room has a king sized bed, chester drawers, a relaxing lounging chair and built in wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, two sinks, toilet and bidet.

If you continue along this corridor you will find another ensuite bedroom with a king sized bed, chester drawers and plenty of inbuilt wardrobe space. The large light ensuite bathroom has a shower, two sinks, toilet and the only bathroom in the house with a bath.

The upper floor of the house has three additional bedrooms, all ensuite. At the top of the stairs to the left is a beautiful light bedroom with a king sized bed, wardrobes and ensuite. This room has gorgeous views to the sea and beyond. There is access from this bedroom to an outside large patio with seating.

Across the small corridor you will find the second of our two roomed suites. This area has a lounge with a sofa, TV for personal viewing and a Wii console plus plenty of wardrobe space. There is also pool table for enjoyment. Off the lounge area , up a few stairs you will find the bedroom to this suite which has two single beds as well as another single bed with a trundle. So comfortably can sleeping four. Our children love this room as it gives them their own space to relax and play. There is a large double sinked bathroom with shower and toilet. Finally this suite has its own small private balcony off the side of the house with a few chairs to relax and look out to the coast and the Boa Vista gold course.

Finally our last bedroom is our favourite, its the Master bedroom. This large open, bright room has a dressing area and ensuite bathroom. The bedroom itself has three large windows, two that open to the large upper patio that provides a 180 degree view of the coastline. Glass balconies create no interruptions to this view. There is a super king four poster bed with chester drawers, dressing table and two sofas with a coffee table. Wake up or relax on the sofas that face the Western Algarve seas.

In terms of the grounds, the house is accessed through its own driveway and entrance and has room for multiple cars. It is far enough away from Lagos to ensure total privacy when required and close enough also to benefit from the numerous amenities in the area within minutes. Quinta Dos Raposos on its elevated position boasts one of the best views in the area without question and is designed for families with kids that love to play and swim.

Maid Service prior to arrival so that the house will be fully set up. There will also be a mid week clean with towel change and if you are staying for a second week then there will be a full clean with towels and bedding change for the second week plus a mid week clean. Additional services on request. Local English speaking managing agent will be on hand to incase you have any questions. Self check in upon arrival.

Quinta Dos Raposos is well located, with easy access to all local amenities. Beaches, activities, restaurants and shops are all within a short 5 / 10 minute drive. The location provides choices to the vacationers in and around Lagos.

Lagos is an historic city, with narrow cobbled streets in the old quarter, which offers many street cafes and restaurants; there is plenty of choice depending on your tastes. The town offers a great selection of nightlife comprising of bars and clubs. So it is a town that caters for all ages. The fabulous Lagos marina also offers a further selection of restaurants and cafes, as well as tour-operated services such as cruises, fishing and boat trips.

Lagos also boasts the beautiful sandy Meia Praia beach, which again has some good choices of restaurants. To the west of the Lagos follow the coastline and you will find the beaches at Praia D'Ana and Porto Do Mos, both with interesting rock formations and excellent for snorkelling. Restaurants and informal cafes can be found along this route.

Further along the coast and visible from the house is the town of Praia Da Luz. Luz has a family friendly beach sheltered by the ‘Black Rock’. The long promenade that runs along the beach also lends itself to many choices of cafes, restaurants and shops. It also has several market stalls and artist displays. You will also find Roman Baths from the 3rd to 5th century A.D. This historic site can be accessed from the promenade.

Just a short 15/20 minutes drive away is the wonderful village and beach of Burgau. Burgau still holds onto its fishing village charm but also offers plenty of small curiosity shops, cafes and restaurants. The rock pools at either end of the beach offer plenty of activities for young children to view some of the local sea life!

Travel further west and you can also visit the gorgeous fishing village of Selema and surfing enthusiasts can enjoy the beaches and water of Sagres.

There are 5 great supermarkets all within 5 to 10 mins drive from the house. Along with the main supermarkets there is a Saturday fruit and vegetable market in Lagos near the bus station and a fantastic very helpful daily morning fish market, a must visit when in town.

Hello, Thank you for staying at Quinta Dos Raposos. We hope you have had a lovely time. We just have a few requests upon leaving the house at 10am or before on your day of departure.
First could the kitchen items be replaced to where they were originally found and in clean order, Could all rubbish be removed and bins emptied. Leave the sheets and towels in your rooms.
Please check you have closed and locked all windows. Ensure all lights and ACs are switched off and also check you have packed all of your personal belongings. Thank you once again and safe travels.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Do not exceed the 12 person max policy attached to this villa. No parties/functions are allowed at the villa, this is a strict rule.
All dishes, glassware etc washed and put back into the cupboards as you found them upon arrival and all rubbish removed before leaving the property.
Be careful around the pools especially non swimmers as there is no pool fences and we have a staggered level garden with the pools.
