🌃 In the heart of the Contades district, you will have the opportunity to discover the Neustadt by foot. Built to make Strasbourg a showcase of Prussian power, the Neustadt is distinguished by its grandiose squares, its wide airy avenues lined with trees, but also by a happy alliance between the monumental and a keen sense of the landscape. It is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This astonishing post-Haussmann district shows certain architectural extravagances, happily mixing Italian neo-Renaissance, neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau. Following the destruction of the Second World War, it remains one of the last testimonies of German architecture from the end of the 19th century.

If you do not want to take care of this, you can order a supplement called "complete cleaning" of the apartment before your arrival for 30 euros. In the absence of prior reservation of this option, and in the event of non-compliance with these instructions, penalties of €60 for cleaning costs will be invoiced to you.

📝 A signature of a digital contract as well as your ID, via the Yaago platform, will be requested after booking, as well as information for the police file, in accordance with the regulations in force. We booked this apartment for a last minute trip, since it was the only one available on VRBO at the time. The neighborhood is decent, there is a grocery store nearby, and technically it's within walking distance to both the new and old town. The photos are deceiving. The apartment itself is in poor condition. There are many chips and scratches on the walls, the furniture is the cheapest possible, flimsy, bare bones, and uncomfortable, the bathroom floods. It's a ground floor apartment, the building's trash cans are next to the kitchen and bedroom windows, in the summer there may be a problem with the smell. The elevator in right next to the apartment and it's loud. The property is owned/managed by a rental agency and clearly they are looking to maximize profit at a minimum cost. The place could definitely use a renovation and better furniture. I would not recommend staying there at this stage.

Petite déception...
Nous avons réservé cette location du 22 au 27 décembre 2020 en famille (4). Nous avons malheureusement étaient très déçus à notre arrivée dans l'appartement situé au rez-de-chaussée en ville. Nous nous sommes vite rendu compte très vite que les fenêtres de l'appartement étaient du simple vitrage. Deuxième point, la cuisine et la chambre enfants qui donnent directement sur les grosses poubelles de l'immeuble. Il y a aussi l'inconvénient de l'isolation des murs qui laisse à désirer; le bruit de la porte d'entrée de l'immeuble occasionné par le passage des habitants du bâtiment (la porte d'entrée de l'appartement étant à quelques mètres de la porte de l'immeuble). Un dernier petit point négatif, ma fille a dormi tout le séjour sur la canapé-lit qui ne devrait pas être considéré comme tel en vue de sa dureté. Je terminerais avec deux points positifs qui sont; l'emplacement de l'appartement qui est plutôt pratique puisque proche commerces, transports et la propreté et la qualité de la literie. J'espère avoir pu renseigner et prévenir les futurs locataires de l'appartement, qui en soit à surtout été une mauvaise surprise du fait de la non-information à propos du bruit. Cordialement.
