About this property
2BR, 2BA Log Cabin
Prepare to be pleasantly surprised and satisfied with your choice if you select Schooner Creek Cabin for your Brown County visit. Less than ten minutes from Nashville, this log cabin is a delightful retreat for you and your nearest and dearest, with its expansive lawn in front, and beautiful woods behind.
Step across the front porch and through the front door to discover a living room that welcomes you with big, comfy sofas, and a native stone gas fireplace . The main living area includes a kitchen with nice cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, as well as a big oak dining table and chairs. Guests will appreciate the nice screened porch that’s accessible through sliding doors. A picnic table and extra seating provides a secondary dining spot…or maybe it will be your favorite place for card games and story-telling. You’ll find additional seating here lets the whole group join in the porch-time fun. A bubbling hot tub on the deck near the porch is super for soothing ache-y joints.
When you’re ready to settle in for the night, the main level master bedroom has a lot to offer. Log and paneled walls, wood floors, and a neat old trunk lend a certain ambiance to the bedroom. Big windows provide a good chance to catch a glimpse of a deer or two quietly crossing the lawn, just before you drift off to sleep in the king-size bed. The adjoining bathroom has a shower and plenty of fluffy towels to get you going the next morning as you set off on the day’s adventure…will it be hiking in nearby Brown County State Park…or shopping at the stores in Nashville? You’ll be within five minutes of either activity…and plenty more.
Overlooking the living room is a loft complete with a pool table, game table, and sofa. Break open your own can of “Show‘Em How It’s Done” and demonstrate your knack with a cue-stick…snacks, board games, and puzzles are also preferred ways to enjoy the loft area. There’s another bedroom and bath on the upper level, making travelers feel right at home. When the party’s over, a queen-size bed will be calling your name in a tone only you (and maybe some dogs) can hear. For a good time, go online now to reserve a few days of relaxation in the quiet countryside called Brown County.
All our cabins have a 3 night minimum for Major Holidays.
