The villa is of contemporary style Vendee, very well equipped recent. 1 bedroom (bed 140 x 200), 1 chamber 2 bunk beds with trundle bed (beds - 90 x 200cm), 1 bathroom, 1 separate WC, 1 kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave oven and a bar -Snack .Table and 6 chairs, leather sofas and TV. South-west facing terrace.
Garage with washing machine. Private garden, closed. The house is located in the small village of St Hilaire la Forêt, in the Vendee. The village, with a fascinating history, is close to the ocean and beautiful beaches. Located in the town square, 5 minutes walk from the house, there is a church, the town hall, a food shop and a bar. The shop sells fresh baguettes and croissants every day. There is also the Museum, Cairn - Prehistory Centre next door or you can discover the country of the megaliths otherwise with exhibitions, events and a lot of activities to do with family or friends. From the village there are several bike paths that take you to Jard sur Mer and its Port, Longeville sur Mer and the beautiful beaches of Le Bouil, the Rocher and the Conches pass through fields full of corn and sunflowers.

Un très bon séjour sous le soleil

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine. En ce début juillet le temps était exceptionnellement caniculaire. Nous avons profité des plages qui ne sont pas très loin en voiture de la maison. La canicule ne nous a pas empêché de visiter la région et d'aller au Puy du Fou à environ 1h de route avec ses nombreux spectacles à voir absolument. Balade en canoë dans les marais poitevin et visite de la Rochelle à un peu plus d'une heure de route. La maison est propre, très agréable, lumineuse et pratique. Pensez à prendre vos draps, housses de couette, serviettes de bain, tapis de douche, un torchon vaisselle et un essuie-mains. Nous n'avons pas eu de contact avec le propriétaire ce qui ne nous dérange pas, total discrétion. Un très bon séjour en Vendée.

Maison agréable, située dans un lotissement calme, bien équipée, taille idéale pour 4/5 personnes. Le jardin est agréable. On a aimé déjeuner / dîner dehors. La maison est en bon état, excepté le pommeau de douche usé qui fuit sur les côtés. Le ménage est assez approximatif, pas mal de poussière. Pas d’accueil physique, ce qui généralement ne nous dérange pas en soi mais ce qui est dommage est que le propriétaire n’est pas facilement joignable en cas de question. Point important : pensez à prendre votre linge de lit, serviettes de bain, torchon cuisine, tapis de bain. Ce n’est pas fourni et ce n’est pas précisé dans l’annonce. La région est jolie, les plages sont belles. Les commerces de Jars sur Mer sont top. Pour les amateurs de la vraie baguette fraîche artisanale et les viennoiseries, n’hésitez pas à faire le trajet jusqu’à la Boulangerie à Jars sur Mer (tellement meilleurs que le pain de la supérette de St Hilaire).

La maison est très fonctionnelle et lumineuse. Le jardin est grand et très plaisant même si il est au bord d'une départementale, aucun vis à vis. L'équipement est assez complet et des jouets sont à disposition pour des jeunes enfants. Très bien située à 10/15 mns de diverses activités pour les familles : plages, château des Aventuriers, commerces, etc... Très bon séjour, nous recommandons.

Wij (een gezin van 4 met twee tienerdochters) hebben een fijne week gehad in de vakantiewoning. Het huis is netjes ingericht. Nette keuken en badkamer. Terras aan de zijkant van het huis. Hierdoor heb je de hele dag zon. Enige nadeel is, dat de achtertuin grenst aan een doorgaande weg. Hierdoor hoor je, als je buiten zit, het verkeer. Hier heb je binnen geen last van.

Excellent stay

We had a pleasant stay here. Very clean and new, a home from home. Local village is a short walk away which provided daily fresh bread croissants etc... We did have a slight issue but we were seen to in very timely manner and we were very pleased with quickly the problem was resolved. If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday then we highly recommend staying here. Ideal for a driving holiday! Hopefully we can stay again next year!
