The cabin was out in the countryside. It was back off the road. Quiet and peaceful. One side had a view of the peaceful countryside and mountains. The other side was a view of the forest and the river.
I have stayed here a couple times over the years and its always great and cozy. The view of the river is beautiful and so is the view of viking mountain from the front! Listing is accurate. Everything works properly. Look forward to hopefully being able to choose this place again in the future.
The stay here was better than we could have imagined! It was so peaceful and quiet and the views.... amazing! Will definitely consider this location again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Quiet, peaceful, rustic and serene are words that come to mind. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed our walks to and time spent by the river and good exercise going back to the cabin as well as the mountain view out front. Will definitely look at staying here again.
We loved the size and location of the place. It was just what we needed for a few nights stay while helping with supply runs after Hurricane Helene. We didn’t get to spend much time enjoying the outdoor area or kitchen as we were gone working. There was plenty of room to park and turn around our 30 foot trailer. My only complaint is that their was a lock on the thermostat and it was quite warm sleeping upstairs as there was no way to close off the heat vents or turn the temperature down . Overall a good stay for my husband and I. Price was fair and location was very private.
Don't let the outside appearance put you off, it is very cozy inside and the view is pretty. We would definitely stay here again. It was also very clean which is important to us.
Download Merlin (bird app), grab a cup of coffee or cold beverage and let relaxation wash over you! Great location south of the Nolichucky river, but easy drive to Greeneville or to the best hiking in the world! Cabin is as described with the bathroom on the lower level and beds upstairs. Only slight negative were a few dust bunny's on the second bedroom.
Best tree swing in the whole world. Gorgeous view. Could sit on that porch and enjoy myself for weeks on end. But alas we had a return back to the real world.
Remote, secluded, quiet, well-equipped, comfortable, rustic... creative use of a former tobacco barn has everything you need to relax in setting that is both beautiful and serene. I wish I had stayed long enough and in a better season to make use of the nearby opportunities to enjoy the nature and scenery that surrounds. The deck overlooks and provides access to a deep bend of the placid Nolichucky river just down the hill. Shop and dine before you leave town... Greeneville is about 30 minutes away. If you get there after dark for the first time, it can be difficult to identify the entry gate at the road. Inside you will find two queen beds upstairs, one in a bedroom and the other on the open loft, with a full bath downstairs. The kitchen is sufficient and there is coffee with creamer and a few other necessities. I was in town for work in Greeneville and pricing was better plus this came with privacy and more space. Yes I would stay again and recommend to others. The host was very helpful and responsive to all my questions and needs.
