This magnificent flat has been completely refurbished in mountain style.
It is very bright, south-facing, facing the mountains and not overlooked.
The residence of 8 flats is very quiet, right next to the old village and shops.
Our media library is at your disposal, with books, comics and DVDs.
We also lend raclette and fondue machines, as well as sledges in winter.
The flat is at the foot of the Col de la Colombière, at an altitude of 1300m.
From the residence, there are numerous hiking and mountain-biking routes to summits, caves and mountain lakes.
The Col de la Colombière, in the Bargy massif, is home to a wealth of flora and fauna, including marmots, ibex, chamois and the famous bearded vulture.
Pastoral life is very much alive in Grand Bornand, and the mountain pastures are very well maintained. Everywhere, cows graze peacefully and you can hear the bells in the mountains. You can watch the famous Reblochon cheese being made, which you can then buy at the farm.
On Wednesday mornings, there's a mountain market in Grand Bornand, and in summer, Sunday mornings in Chinaillon, just 500 metres from the chalet.
You're also close to Switzerland and Italy, where you can plan a day trip or enjoy the magnificent beaches of Lake Annecy and Lake Geneva.
We are always on hand to offer advice or help 7 days a week.
Raclette and fondue machines, sledges (in winter), games, comics, books, DVDs, etc. are available free of charge. You also have free use of a shared washing machine and a clothes line.
