Fabulous house in lovely location

We were a group of 7 adults and 4 teens and thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks in the property in the middle of August. The air-con throughout the property definitely came in handy. We were not aware from the listing that the accommodation was split between a main house and 2 gites, which meant we had to split up the kids. In the end it worked very well and gave us a lot more space (and extra booze and cheese fridges) and meant people could have peace and do their own thing if needed. The bedrooms were all good sizes except the twin in the gite, which was very small. Storage in all the rooms was excellent and all the beds are a decent size with very comfortable mattresses that felt pretty new. The sheets are polycotton though, which was disappointing, and all the pillows need updating. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed, and the fridge and freezer space was ample. The layout of the island meant it was quite cramped if more than 2 people were cooking, though plenty of space around the island. The seperate utility room with washing machine was also extremely useful. The table in the main house didn't seat us all together but we ate outside apart from 1 night. Outdoors there were plenty of sun loungers and the pool and decking was a good size for 11. We would have preferred the pool a bit deeper though. The seating area was more than big enough with decent shades to cover the length of the table. The sun downer area and seating was delightful. We loved what the outdoor space offered us. The kids loved the trampoline. The house is within walking distance of 2 towns (Paradou 10mins and Maussane 15mins) with plenty of boulangeries and restaurants to choose from, excellent markets and some lovely shops. Both have a village square for an apero or a nice meal. We would all recommend the house, the location and surrounding area for a lovely family holiday.
