Creative refuge & Refined and nestled in the heart of Provence, Mas de l'Amarine offers the perfect setting to recharge with family or friends. Exclusively yours, this luxurious residence becomes your home for the duration of your stay.
Located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, one kilometer from the village center, facing the Alpilles mountains, the shutters of Mas de l'Amarine open onto the landscape. At first glance, one sees the silhouette of a majestic early 19th-century farmhouse, nestled within its garden of ancient trees and multicolored flowers, where whimsical works of art stand out. Thus, the eye discovers the full originality and high-end comfort of the residence. An artists' house, beautified by the painter Roger Bezombes in the fifties, it plays with mosaics and colours.
Set on a 5000 m² property, the main farmhouse, measuring 500 m², offers six spacious suites, each with its own bathroom, as well as a series of inviting living areas. The 60 m² annex, the Bergerie, includes two additional bedrooms.

THE LIVING ROOMS OF THE MAIN FARMHOUSE
The 500m2 residence is revealed through its large living room adorned with the masterful mosaic by Roger Bezombes. Facing an imposing fireplace, whose lintel comes from the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, comfortable sofas await you.
At the heart of the house, a few steps up, the landing will be the meeting place for almost all gatherings. You'll pass by, a glass in hand, leaving the pantry to head towards the terrace with its large sofas, a favorite spot for sharing moments from morning till night. From there, you'll discover the pantry and then the open kitchen. Both are equipped with top-of-the-line professional appliances, promising delicious meals.
A few more steps and a second spacious living & dining room of 80m2 comes into view. Its huge bay window opens onto a terrace overlooking the garden, facing the Alpilles.
Like a surprise, hidden within its luminous, mineral setting, the cave dining room welcomes you around its glass table. Its other secret? Its wine cellar carved directly into the rock.

THE WELLNESS FAIR
An integral part of the farmhouse, the old dovecote is accessed through the garden. At the top of its stone staircase, well hidden from view, is the massage and treatment room.
A WALK THROUGH THE GARDENS
The 5000 m2 estate runs alongside the Via Aurélia, a historic Roman road on the northern face of the Alpilles mountains. Completely enclosed, it reveals itself as soon as the large gate opens. Generations of planted trees provide the first contours of the landscape: hackberry trees, pines, and centuries-old oaks.
Like several secret places, landscaped areas punctuate the walk. The various shaded terraces are furnished with large convivial tables and comfortable lounges, ideal for all moments of sharing.
Relax by the 15m x 7m heated pool (open from May to September). Surrounded by lawn, it's the perfect place to play. The pool house has a bar. And how could you imagine Provence without a game of pétanque? The court for these fun moments is located near the pool.
The old pond is ideal for a nap. Lotuses bloom there and goldfish find refuge, while three original sculptures by Max Crueize spout their water.
Here, a patch of aromatic herbs; there, flowering groves adorn the espaliers of the Provençal garden. Plants spill over the old stone walls. At the foot of the terraces, numerous climbing roses and shrubs create a graphic and fragrant effect.

It is rare when a rental property so completely exceeds expectations. Everything about this house is fantastic, and the space is even more expansive than it appears in photos. Alice was a fabulous host and our group of family and friends took full advantage of the large bedrooms, luxurious common spaces and extensive outdoor seating areas. The pool was impeccably maintained, and the property was tucked away on a private drive just a short drive from the heart of St. Remy. We unanimously agreed we would try to return every year if possible. Exactly the kind of dream house in Provence we all dream of when planning a trip.
The best way to describe this property is “wow.” An absolutely beautiful villa set among large trees, shrubs and flowering plants, everywhere, and some views of the mountains. It feels very secluded, but only a 15-20 minute walk to the heart of town. Creative artwork everywhere, in every room. Loads of wonderful outdoor areas to enjoy, including a comfortable “living room” area where our group of 10 “seniors” would mingle each morning and evening, and several other outdoor areas where we dined most nights. Huge pool with more sitting areas. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, all with private bath, and there were two indoor living areas to enjoy, and a restaurant quality kitchen (she used to run a restaurant there). Our wonderful host Alice gave us a warm welcome, with loads of tips on nearby sights and restaurants in St. Remy and surrounding areas. Highly recommended.
