About this property
Airstream at The Goat
VRBO Description
ABOUT THE RV
This 28ft Airstream is comfy, cozy, and modern. She's called Lovey, and she's a 28ft International with a beautiful interior designed in partnership with DWR. She's got a nasty dent which took her off the road, but that doesn't stop her from serving as a great luxury appointed cabin and your glamping getaway!
You'll love the privacy of the bedroom and how the couch and dinette convert into additional beds. Comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2-3 children. Full size shower separate from the bathroom is very convenient.
ABOUT THE LAND
Our little ranchette is called, The Goat. There’s no goats on The Goat (yet), but it’s one of the greatest of all time places to relax. There’s always a breeze, even on the hottest days, and the sunsets are amazing! There are some hiking trails where you’re certain to see lots of wildlife native to the area. If you’re into foraging, there’s mesquite, greenbrier, persimmon, agarita, and enough prickly pear to feed a small army. Tons of great hammock hanging spots (BYOH).
The Goat is at the end of ½ mile caliche road off of 1979. It’s very centrally located to all the best river and tubing attractions and Texas BBQ!
7 mi NE to get to the San Marcos river
11mi W to get to the San Marcos Premium Outlets
18mi NE to get to the BBQ Capital of the World (Lockhart, TX)
20mi S to get to Seguin, TX
22mi SW to get to Schlitterbahn
RULES
#1 No fires unless a host is present
#2 No fires if a burn ban is in effect (supersedes rule #1)
#3 Be friendly to the neighbors; don’t be surprised if they say hi
#4 Clean the dishes; we’ll clean everything else, but clean dishes keep ants away!
#5 Check your boots for scorpions in the morning; they’re beautiful creatures that come out at night and like to snuggle into cozy places
#6 Always hike with a stick; rattlesnakes abound in this part of TX, and it’s good practice to beat the ground in front of you as you walk
ABOUT YOUR HOSTS
We’ll be in the main house, or when we’re traveling we’ll leave you detailed instructions on how to enjoy your temporary home to the fullest.
