Taste of Paradise

This is a lovely home. Warm and inviting. Pet friendly. The beach a short walk over the boardwalk. It was everything we wanted and needed.

Family Vacation

My family and I vacation every summer to Surfside. This year we chose the Reese Rendezvous and loved it! Very clean, cozy and accommodating for our two dogs. Kitchen was well stocked, toiletries in case we forgot something and close proximity to the beach and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay here, the location was so close to the beach, the rooms were setup perfect so we could sit all the children and the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Perfection!

We loved staying here!!! The location was absolutely perfect as was the house. We loved the layout of the house and bed setup. The house was well stocked with everything you need plus some extras. Tons of bath towels! I loved that there were labels on so many things in the house too making it easy to figure stuff out. It rained every day during the week we stayed but not all day so we were still able to enjoy the beach. Being right next to the beach bar and grill was cool too because we could just pop under their deck and swing and hang out if it would start raining. You can see the house from the beach bar and from the beach so that was really nice with kids running back and forth between both places. You can see and hear the ocean from the deck and if you open the living room window, you can also hear the ocean. That was really nice on the rainy mornings when you couldn’t sit on the porch. Best bang for your buck in Surfside! We will stay here again.

Great weekend getaway

We truly enjoyed our weekend with our family. Very warm and inviting home! The restaurant across the way was super cool. Good food and live bands. We would definitely go back again.

Wonderful place

Great place to stay. The video is accurate. There is a bar near by that plays music but it didn't bother us in the house. Comfortable, well kept place. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was lovely, ever was socked excellent. Was kinda of disappointing that Surfside Beach was not letting people on the beach due to the soft sand. But we made do! The house is a great location! We enjoyed our stay!

Clean, Cute, Comfortable and Perfectly Located

I am very particular about where I stay - cleanliness and comfort matter a lot to me. We have stayed at this property 4 times and are always impressed. The proximity to the beach is perfect. The end of the beach where the property is situated is less crowded than other sections. The house itself is consistently clean and over the years has been well-maintained and even improved, rather than being allowed to deteriorate as some properties do. The hosts are incredibly informative and responsive. There is no where we would rather stay in Surfside. We highly recommend this property!

16th wedding anniversary vacay

We loved this beach house none of us wanted to leave. jelly fish were horrible but didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay. Everything we needed was easily found and there to use.

Our family of 5 adults and 3 children ages 9,6, and 18 months enjoyed our stay. 2nd row with beach views, short walk to beach and restaurant, sat on balcony and listened to band at the restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights. Very comfy with all amenities! Thanks!

Water Issues

Property was nice.. but as soon as you turn on the water it smelled like sewer... we couldn't take a shower or brush my teeth with the water that came out of faucets. Thank goodness my parents were staying close by at another rental and we showered/ brushed my teeth there. Overall if you want to smell like sewer... this is the place to stay. I would hope they would not rent this place out until owners repair the water issue.

Perfect get away

I am a repeat guest at Reese's Rendezvous. Once again, it was a wonderful experience. 2nd row, just steps away from the beach. The home is well maintained and extremely well stocked. The owner's made themselves available, should I need to communicate for any reason or should any problem arise. Of course, there were no issues. Just real nice people. Eagerly planning my next get away.

Absolutely perfect!

We rented last minute and we’re so thankful we got this house! We’ve used VRBO many times and this was the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed! The extras provided by the owners was unbelievable and so greatly appreciated! If we ever are back in the area, we will definitely stay at this house again!!

Great Spot!

This is a great place to stay! Yard is a little small and has burrs so watch out for your pups. But overall- the location is awesome and has great beach access!

Hello! We are Randy and Doneane Reese. We bought our beach home in 2014 while Randy was working in Freeport. When his job ended, we decided to start sharing our little piece of paradise with others. Randy is an Electrical Inspector and Doneane is a Lawyer and College Professor. We love to come to our home and relax and de-stress!

Why they chose this property

We love the location, the views, and all of the local amenities that Surfside offers its residents and vacationers. The Village of Surfside is a family oriented community. The beaches are well maintained and patrolled. Car traffic is minimal (unless it is a holiday weekend).

What makes this property unique

Surfside offers many conveniences that other local beach communities lack. We really like that it is a quiet place to bring our family (unlike some other Southeast Texas beaches!). Groceries, drinks, ice, gas, souvenirs, restaurants and bars, there is really no reason to leave the island for anything! We also have neighbors who are full time residents so we have them to look out for things when we are not there. With close access to the beach for walking over, and a drive on entrance just a few blocks away, this was the perfect vacation home for us! We look forward to many more years enjoying Surfside.
