Just 15 minutes from town, the Hiker Hut is an nature lover's retreat.
The Hut is dog friendly with a $50 pet fee. (max 2) House rules for dogs apply.

There is no cell service at the cabin, and you will most likely lose service on the highway on your way in. Enable wifi calling on your phone and save provided driving directions before arrival. There is a landline phone for local calls and emergencies.
I'm available by call, text, or email from 9AM-9PM.
The Hut is bordered by Nat'l forest on one side and private land on the other. Please see maps in the cabin for details on accessing trails and be mindful of neighboring land.
Just 15 minutes from town, the Hut is located at the end of a privately maintained gravel road. Please drive slowly on Old Hwy 5 as you may meet another car and will need to pass by carefully. Livingston Creek is crossed by bridge to reach the cabin. In times of extreme rainfall the creek may be over the bridge, making the cabin inaccessible. I will advise you in advance if I feel this is something that might be an issue during your stay.

~It should be noted that our properties are located in a rural and, in some cases, remote area of the Ozarks, where you will find many different forms of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, mice, snakes, eagles, wild hogs, black bear, skunks, and opossums are common, and may be a nuisance at certain times of the year. Other pests such as ants, wasps, mosquitos, spiders, bees, flies, and gnats also live nearby. Each property has a regular/quarterly pest control device, but we cannot guarantee against Guests seeing any animals or pests during their stay and no refunds will be made for this.

Pet Rules:
*Please clean up after your dog.
*Please do not allow your dog to bark excessively or to roam onto neighboring properties. Many of our homes are located near residential neighborhoods, and we must respect the comfort and privacy of those residents. Complaints may lead to eviction without refund.
*Please do not allow dogs on furniture or beds. It is also helpful to bring something (bed, blanket, etc.) on which you know your pet will be comfortable sleeping. Extra cleaning fees will be charged for furniture, blankets, comforters, etc. that have pet hair left behind.
*Please don’t leave your dog unattended for long periods of time. A crate is ideal for those situations in which you must leave. You are responsible for any damages your pet causes.
*Please ensure that your dog’s medications and immunizations are up-to-date, especially flea treatment.
