Beautiful location. Easy access to beach. Well stocked kitchen. Family friendly beach. Quiet.Comfortable beds. Plenty of towels. Well maintained. Nice walking area. Definitely will return.Virtually no propane. Cooked one meal and propane was gone. Lights in dining area flash on and off.

Wonderful location and great amenities for a birthday weekend celebration!! The beachfront view was amazing, super close to Proposal Rock. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at home, and the beds were super comfy. Thanks for letting us stay!

This was a beautiful house right on the beach. The path to the beach wasn’t quite as easy as what’s pictured but it was still fine to get to. The house was fairly clean although not very thoroughly, the bedrooms and bathrooms were cleaned very well just spots were missed throughout the rest of the house(I’m a professional cleaner so that was probably just me being hyper aware, people who don’t do it for a living probably wouldn’t notice) the overall condition of the house and property was great though. The house was also stocked very well with everything you might need for the kitchen, bedding and bathing.

Of course we had a superb time with extended family, and the weather was great! However, this house that we’ve stayed in before has gone downhill a lot. It has the room for all of us and is right on the beach, but it’s worn and not too comfortable any more. Lights over the kitchen/dining/games table kept turning themselves off (a short? Dangerous?). The dishwasher is marginal. The refrigerator is ridiculously small for a place that big. The water heater does NOT accommodate a group. There are so many dishes and rag-tag pans that it’s hard to put them all away. Lock on front door is shaky. Slider is difficult to open/close and potentially dangerous. Furniture is worn and the fireplace is off-limits. And the price is sky-high! We won’t rent this house again unless it is renovated. Hey, you asked.

Since your stay, we've continued to make updates and address maintenance items as they arise to keep the home comfortable and well maintained for our guests. Regarding the specific issues you mentioned, we take guest safety seriously. We have not identified any electrical hazard with the kitchen lighting, but we will have it inspected. We also regularly maintain the sliding door and front door hardware, and we'll evaluate them again based on your comments. As for the dishwasher, refrigerator size, hot water capacity, furnishings, and kitchen inventory, we understand these features may not suit every group's preferences, however, these items are less than 3 years old and in great condition. We appreciate your candid feedback. Guest comments help us prioritize future improvements, and we thank you for sharing yours. We wish you and your family all the best.

Beautiful location, great for families or friends get togethers

Incredible views, nothing like sitting in front of the fire pit or in the hot tub listening to the waves. Nice house, helpful to have 2 washers and 2 dryers. Glad we booked it. Will always have wonderful memories of staying here. Be sure to hit the Cafe onHawk Creek for dinner.

The location and house were beautiful. However the host and their team have failed to maintain this property to provide a safe and enjoyable stay. A LOADED HANG GUN AND KNIFE were found in the nightstand drawer. There was a 3 year old boy staying in that room, and was present when the gun was found. The host was generally impolite and off putting, and offered very little to resolve the issue. The weapons were found around midnight, I called the local police who came and picked up the weapons, and informed the host. The only offer she gave was that we could have a full refund IF we checked out by 10:30am (10 hours after informing her of the weapons). My group of 9 adults 3 children and a dog were unable to find other accommodations and had no option but to stay. The host didn’t offer any other solutions to make up for the incident. Upon checking in, dirty dishes were in the sink and dishwasher, the door handle to the patio was broken, a bedroom had fault door handles, and the pocket door in the primary bath slides off track (so bring your phone to the bathroom, otherwise you’ll be locked in). The property was poorly maintained and cleaned between guests, resulting in this dangerous situation that my guests and I were put in. I do not recommend this host or property, and am very disappointed with VRBO.

Thank you for your feedback. We agree that discovering a firearm left behind by a previous guest was an extremely serious situation. However, there are several inaccuracies in this review that we feel should be clarified. First, once your group notified us of the item, our team immediately contacted local law enforcement and coordinated the response to have the firearm safely removed from the property. This was done within an hour of the notification. The firearm did not belong to the homeowner or management team, and we had absolutely no prior knowledge of its presence. We take guest safety very seriously and acted promptly as soon as we became aware of the issue. We also disagree with the statement that little effort was made to resolve the situation. We remained in active communication with your group, offered assistance throughout the incident, and provided the option of a FULL refund. Despite this offer, your group elected to remain and complete the stay. We also offered to send maintence to fully inspect the property. Regarding the additional maintenance concerns mentioned, none of these items were reported to us during the stay or we woukd have addressed them.

Great gathering spaces, comfortable beds/ rooms, extremely clean, and we’ll stocked! My one comment is for the amount of people it holds it does need two refrigerators, it only has one so being a cooler if you’re staying more then a few days.

Lovely home!

The home was beautiful and just large enough for our group. The location and view are beyond measure and truly the reason to pay the high cost to stay here. The required later than normal check in and also earlier required check out were disappointing, but our family enjoyed our weekend at the house and made some lovely memories.

We booked this “luxurious oceanfront retreat” for a special family celebration. The location and views are excellent, but the property itself fell far short of the listing description and photos.Major issues included:• The listing and photos showed a propane barbecue on the deck. We found only a filthy, propane griddle with empty tanks. I had to leave the family to buy propane, and nearly 500 worth of premium Black Angus steaks were ruined.• Extensive cleanliness problems: dirty glass cooktop, heavily soiled baking sheets and pans, hair in the silverware drawer, dust and debris in the dishes — we had to wash everything before use.• Broken sliding glass door — a serious safety/egress issue that was reported by guests over a year ago and never fixed. My elderly mother could not open the door by herself.• Clogged return air vent full of dust and hair.• Other maintenance failures: pocket door that trapped my wife inside the bathroom, decorative-only fireplace not disclosed until welcome packet, master slider won’t lock, malfunctioning windows and blinds.I contacted the host immediately with photos as instructed in the welcome pack. Their only offer came the following morning, a full refund if we vacated by 11 AM — less than one hour’s notice — which was impossible for our family gathering.We cleaned what we could and made the best of it for our family, but this experience did not match the premium price or the “luxury” description. Future guests should be aware!
